Frustrating isnt it.

If someone comes in for Golding, then i think thats me done with this club for good.

No one will ever come in for Golding. We‘ll either have to release him or he turns into the next prime Messi.

Think he could do a job at left wing back?

It is shocking he was bought as a premier league player.and is not good enough for league 1!!

Golding still nowhere to be seen. Has anyone ever actually seen him?

Faes, Choudhury picking up weekly what most of us have to slog a year or two for.

The only saving grace is we are still not in the premier league otherwise we would be paying 10 million to sign a tea lady from Man City!

I'm with you. I really don't see what is so bad about his game, that so many managers must see.
To me, he genuinely looks a better option at left back than Thomas.

Golding was signed to get around PSR. We needed £30 million for KDH. Chelsea only prepared to pay that, if we paid £5 million for Golding.

Seen him play once for the under 21’s. He was fine but didn’t standout as anything special. Certainly not a £5 million player.

The only thing I can think of is that he struggles to concentrate for a full 90… but surely that’s improved by starting him for an hour and gradually increasing his game time.

He’s got great pace, decent physicality, can run with the ball ok, tackles ok … not seen enough of his passing though

He's 27 and can't defend and has terrible positioning.

Which side is his strongest? He seems to play more on the right, but I see him often referred to as a left back.

I like Aluko so he’d be sharing time with him, unless Aluko is preferred at CB

He's predominantly a RB. I quite like elements of his game but would rather he be got rid of.

If we played three at the back (which we'd probably never do under RM (brief spell at Ipswich, aside)), have Woyo and Thomas as the wing backs would probably be our strongest options tbh

I watched him for Sassuolo when following our loanees was more enjoyable than watching us.  He definitely looks like someone who'd be better suited to a wingback position.  When he played at RB he was either so far forward he couldn't be considered a defender or when he wasn't doing that he tended to be too close to his CB to the point he's covering the same space.  It kind of made sense that Ruud brought him in because he wanted one of his fullbacks to be superman and get up and down the line non-stop which is what hit JJ hard.

It really doesn't matter how we play these clowns, they are alway one stupid squared pass into danger away from ruining the game.

Yes, I agree he look like a wingback rather than a full back. You can get away with it in that position with the extra protection.
