We're fundamentally floored. If we can't score goals then we're going to lose the majority of games where we concede. We concede because we are guaranteed to give away 3 or 4 gift wrapped chances per game by over playing.

 

I could stomach playing this way if we're winning games 4-3 and creating great chances but we look absolutely clueless in the final third. 

 

I'd say there is a 80 -90% chance of relegation if Brussell stays - I'm not being over dramatic.

By all means criticise the Cullen sub, but let’s not pretend that all the subs didn’t work.

 

Better overall, but we are going to struggle consistently when we gift chances regularly to the opposition and also in league one when we play a low block.

Aluko went chasing after the ball, didn’t get near it which opened up all the space in behind when the player flicked it beyond him.

 

These youngsters are going to make mistakes though. It’s about learning from it.

I know it's the way they are told to play, but it still continues to astound me that professional footballers can't use their brain and make their own decision to recognise a potential problem and decide to get rid. Is it really that hard or that much of a crime to just put your foot through it every now and again? Game management is just appalling at times. 

 

It's like we have a rule that must do something braindead to give the opposition a golden chance to score.

Unfortunately didn’t play through it for Ipswich’s second goal. Then kinda of overplayed for Ipswich’s third. 
 

Kinda of the problem, it’s a tactic which requires 100% perfect execution to be effective.

Unfortunately I think we will play worse against worser teams. We seem to be relatively good at playing through a press, but can’t imagine teams in league 1 will want to press us that much

They get bollocked, then dropped if they dont play the system, especially the younger players. They are being told to play like this and expected to take the risks. Blame the bearded twat in charge.

If you pass the ball around your own 18 yard box playing Russian roulette you are going to get punished. Seems brain dead to me but expect to see it again.

Notts County went man to man press against us from every static set piece in our half. Burton did it off goal kicks. 
 

Both have adopted 3 at the back formations and they happy to go man for man with our front three. 
 

Ipswich played in a lower gear tonight. Particularly first half.

Also the Ipswich "press" was half hearted for the majority of the game. Then nothing really happens after we beat the press. The recipient usually wants to go backwards so we can have another crack at "eye of the needle" passes on the edge of our box
