Blueman1967 Posted 27 August Posted 27 August Tuesday game, might have made me a bit more positive for Saturday 3
FosseSpark Posted 27 August Posted 27 August That being our best team, it's pretty startling that the average age is about 21. If you take Stolarcyk and Chapllin out, average age is 19.8. I think we need 3 players in. - An experienced League One centre half of 25+ who isn't a Lascelles type of experience ie slow and shit and wants a payday. - Someone like 5 years ago's Paull Mullin as an option up front. - Some height/ground coverage in mdfield. Like a League one Ndidi Those are the three areas we are short given that Coulbialy, Skipp, Choudhury, Souttar, Okoli, Faes, Mavididi just can't play for the club again. They are a poioned group who all need to be gone before we can really get going with a clean slate. 3

Hopefully we can get a couple of goals before BDCR & Cullen inevitably come on at 60mins. McCarthy Joseph - Kanga - Thomas - McFarlane Chaplin - Page - Braybrooke Burns - Bristrić - Alves Stolarczyk / Aluko / Neale / Howell / Cullen / Watson / BDCR Howell and Watson over Alves and Burns for me.

If Howell and Page start we should create a bit more. 3
Long Eaton Fox Posted 27 August Posted 27 August So the team that could possibly start tomorrow will have cost us £3m! 3
Long Eaton Fox Posted 27 August Posted 27 August (edited) The squad on the other hand has cost us £63m! Edited 27 August by Long Eaton Fox 1 1 3

LCFCCKEANO Posted 27 August Posted 27 August Bit disappointed that we haven’t moved for a second centre half already considering the heat around almost all of ours. Hope Aluko isn’t hurt and if he is that Okoli has recovered or it’ll be Thomas and Kangas 1

He actively encourages that transfer deals happen at the last minute as he thinks it's get better value. All whilst the points and games are ticking away. Tuesday night be laugh playing Plymouth but 5 players out because they are in transfer talks which are also a dependent piece on whether we can bring a player in.
Phil Mitchell Posted 27 August Posted 27 August MK was Martin’s first mangers job, anything less than a win and the small amount of rep he has left is down the shitter. Phil 1

This Kanga fella looks like he plays left CB. Also looks like he likes to run full pelt out of defence with the ball. So him and Aluko at centre back could get interesting. How did McFarlane look on his full debut? based on highlights looked like a big upgrade going forwards. In that he got forwards.

McFarlane impressed me a lot,had something daft like 5 shots/headers on goal too 😂 1

Aint left footed though according to transfermarkt
Kitchandro Posted 27 August Posted 27 August Russell will be desperate to impress at his old gaff. We have to win sometime.

He looks like a serious unit and a reasonable addition that may well prove a very good piece of business. But, OMG, his passing was shocking. Made Skipp look like prime Iniesta!

I worry that we might get bullied by wilier players. We could do with a couple of steady, experienced defenders. Unfortunately our more experienced defenders struggle with the steady bit. A defence of Joseph, Aluko, Niemi and MacFarlane could be brittle Throwing a 19 year old Finnish chap into the defence mix can't do his confidence any damage, no sir!!

Yep, the squad management has been so appalling over the last few seasons we are essentially left fielding our youth team in League One.
LCFCCKEANO Posted 28 August Posted 28 August Think this is a big test in my eyes tomorrow, squad is barren but we have now all seen that the midfield looks better with Braybrooke and Page and we can not start both Okoli and Souttar, can maybe get away with one. Also think Stol should start but can forgive that one, other two will tell us a lot about how much Martin is willing to change his opinion based on what he sees rather than his ideal image of what we look like
