I was very disappointed with MK Dons. Last week Burton basically came up with the blueprint on how to beat us and today the opposition just ignored it.  They didn’t press us once, let us have the ball and walk into their half and yet we still couldn’t score.

Alright fair enough. He’s shit though and he’s  a Martin favourite.

To add to the initial point - his coaching isn’t conducive to lots of chances and selections make them even worse.

You could be right, be interesting to see what the side looks like in 5 to 6 games and who his picking.

Prior to the season everybody would have been fuming with 2/9 points. Now we’re here there’s an undercurrent of “Well it’s going to take time to embed all these players…”.

I just think we have been crap for two seasons with a toxic group of players, it was never going to be a quick fix.

What if Martin is just shit, exactly like his record suggests?

Then we are in the shit, unfortunately the owner chose to employ him.

Wouldn't be my choice but they are unlikely to make a change for a couple of months.

Yeah I was surprised at this. We’ve been pressing pretty nicely so far this season but there wasn’t enough there today, especially second half.

Good signs are not enough. We are a genuinely good team full of players far too good for this level that are being stunted by this manager.

If we start Will Alves, Bristric and Howell we win that game 3 nil. The front line he started with today was devoid of any end product.

I agree that Alves and Bristric definitely should have started, and on the basis of Ipswich Howell probably deserved to as well (although unlike today Burns was alright against Burton). But it's a bit ridiculous to suggest we'd have won 3-0 when none of those three have had a goal or assist yet this season and Alves is the only one who's looked like he has an end product (granted we've not given a huge number of minutes to the other two).

Im sorry but no wins in the first 3 games is totally and utterly unacceptable. We are in League One for christ sake, not the premier league. We are an absolute shambles.

ever heard of a rebuild ?

It was based on those final 15 minutes where we looked very likely to score. 60 minutes of that and we score 3 in my opinion.

Watson and Burns were complete dead ends on either wing before that.

Really looking forward to the season now. We look like we're gonna score every time we get on the ball. Need to work on more possession though, that'll win you games.

I agree more possession means we can do exactly what we want walk it into the net

Well yea we have been run into the ground

I don’t know why I bother responding to you.

The others teams have been well run yeah? One with a transfer embargo and the other with 20 odd new players and out of administration

We have the most expensively assembled squad in this divisions history and are struggling in the bottom 6. We were given 3 gimmie games at the start of the season against pseudo league 1 teams. Despite this rebuild, we should still be seeing at least 7 points from the games we have had.

24 shots including hitting the woodwork twice kind’ve contradicts your sarcasm tbf.

It was by far our best league performance of the season. We had more than enough chances to win that. Am I daft for seeing some encouraging signs? Maybe my expectations have been worn down so much.

Don't twist my words on this. I am by no means happy with a draw. I just think you're lying to yourself if you didn't think that performance was better.

Better isn’t good enough though. If we don’t look like winning this league then the manager is failing. Nothing less than what Nigel did at this level is acceptable.

If we let our expectations fall in line with the people running the club then we aren’t a serious fanbase. Being where we are is not ok and we need to stop lowering standards for them.

75 minutes to bring on Alves, and we looked far more of a threat in that 15 minutes than in the previous 75... Martins game management was abysmal.

Martin is a very poor manager but an excellent bullshitter. He will keep feeding Top a load of crap & telling him we are playing beautiful football & Top will keep believing.
