Anyone know what happened with McFarlane

He forgot that defensive positioning was a thing when we played against Oxford.

And then 7 subs means you’re tied up with how many make match day squad. Kanga and Aluko made sense for those defensive sub spaces

Don't think Aluko comes to the fore as a leftback tbh.

Thing is these days that the right winger is often  left footed so having a right footed left back could help. Plus he is both footed apparently. The back 4 I suggested I've only seen around 10 of there games and 2 of them none. Just a feeling 🤔

Yeah but he is a million times better than Thomas

My big toes are probably better than Thomas atm :P  The problem with Thomas is that he has the odd good game that makes you think he might be improving, but then, nope...

I've just watched the highlights video & it just emphasises how bad Thomas is. All over the place for their first goal & the ball goes through his legs & constantly out-muscled throughout the game.

How is it we have all seen this for the last few seasons & yet he is consistently selected? We have no chance of progressing while he is still in the team & the goalkeeper is just as bad

A good result considering a lot of these players have never played together and lots are playing first team football for the first time. It's going to take a few games to click.

Impressive to go 4-1 up away at Stockport. That needs to be acknowledged.

Ultimately we've got so much scar tissue and any goal against us when we're in a position of strength causes the world to implode around us and we can't deal with it.

Baby steps but ultimately a 4-3 win is a good result and we just need to build on it. At least we're making and taking chances.

Riis looks the real deal and someone that doesn't need 10 chances to score. Two really good finishes. Reminds me of Chris Wood.

I reckon we end up in a position where we win when we play regular football and we lose when we play Brussel ball.

I don't think he will be pragmatic enough to acknowledge that his preferred style does not work and will be desperate to return to it.

I was very impressed with them as an opposition… jack diamond was a real handful. They had a cb who consistently pinged the ball around accurately and Kyle Wootten was also too much for us.

good side and one that if we finish above we’ve probably done well
