That’s because Thomas was playing as a third centre half and Alves was employed as a wingback.

Shame about Faes getting back in. Just can’t have any interest in watching with him in. Poor attitude and a bombscare at any level. Can’t see us keeping Barnsley out with Faes and Thomas in there.

Given we've signed Burns for 3 years makes sense he'll want to keep him happy.

 

We've signed too many similar players and not enough proper midfielders as options for Braybrooke, Page and Lundstram because they'll get injured

Just my opinion but I think the inclusion of the likes of Faes and Souttar within the match day squads is coming from above Martin, we saw similar last year under Cifuentes. 
 

The owner and former DoF are not gong to be happy seeing players signed for big fees and huge wages rotting away in the stands it’s a very bad look for them. I can see Faes, Souttar and Okoli being rotated to try and retain some level of saleable value.

Another reason why I do not go to games anymore. The lack of standards from some of our fans is truly shocking.
