Oh man if Man City win the league this year it will be really very funny. The look on Carraghers bright red face as his head explodes at the thought would be delicious, not to mention Manchester United media. For the good of the world we need this

Great post… seeing all these red cartel fans boiling their piss is hysterical.

I even know Watford fans who want their players to get winners medals for losing 6-0. Laughable 😂

For the good of the world we need to see.... a state funded, sportswashing, rule breaking team of elite mercenary players win the top league in our country... to piss off a few ex man utd players, right...

I thought it was just the man city fans who were deluded

Some info is rehashed and some is new, but this reporter won a Pulitzer last year for uncovering a similar scandal in the NBA. Worth a watch or listen.

One relegation would be nowhere near enough of a punishment.

They would still be able to compete and win the domestic cups and they'd prevent a Championship club who are trying to do things the right way, from making millions by bouncing straight back up in their place.

Their players would still be chosen for international football, so competing at a higher level and in a strange way it would actually be better for them in terms of wear and tear. They'd be able to rotate easily and cruise the league.

It would basically be like saying they can't win the PL for just one season, which is a pretty good price to pay for cheating to end up with nine.

I think they need to be kept for a while in a lower league with no prospect of promotion. Otherwise, it hands them a couple more trophies, (say League 1 and Championship) as you say, at the expense of another team being able to enjoy that.

If we were lucky enough to be in that position with the chance to win a trophy, and they nicked it from us, I'd be annoyed. My grandson wasn't born when we won the league and is too young to remember the cup win. The one good thing of where we are now is he might see us lift a trophy. Man. City taking it from us 🤔 nah.

If you think it’s home and hosed for the PL it might be not be going your way.

Wait till Man City’s legal team get their teeth in the High court. A few on here would love Man City to the demoted to the Northern League. The PL think they’ve won the media over, but wait and see what happens.

Guilty of cheating but sitting top still. Football has never felt so dead.

I’d rather them top then arsenal  Chelsea Liverpool or united tbf

I usually would, but after those guilty charges were confirmed it just doesn't make sense to.

Amazing what a squad you can put together when you just cheat.

I thought the “charges” covered 2008-2018?

Not the current squad or management

35 of the charges are for non compliance with the investigation between 2018 and 2023 when the charges were finally delivered.

If they hadn’t obstructed the process for another 8 years their punishment could well have been delivered in the seasons after, which directly affects us.

I think this will all be different if it goes to the high court. We’ll see.
