Hugo Sanchez Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 The word legend is thrown about too much these days but he's a real legend. I can't think of any Leicester player in my lifetime who was better then Muzzy.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 "I was happy. Why mess that up for a few quid?"
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 LEGEND. Was pure quality in every game. He was awesome in Nottingham Masters as well. We wont get a player who plays for us for 8yrs again for a long while.
Fox92 Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 What a legend and hero. We all gotta' love the man I remember when, in 2002, and I was only 11 I think and he scored that over head kick at Grimsby away and I was right behind the goal. But my favourite goal was from Muzzy against Leeds when we comeback from 2-0 then Alan Smith scored in the last minute to make it 3-2. We wont get a player who plays for us for 8yrs again for a long while. No we won't and I don't think any club will really.
Guest Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 Used to?!Why not now? I'm a married woman, and he's a married man.
ACF Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 I'm a married woman, and he's a married man. Doesn't stop some people...
ThorpeAstleyFox Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 I'm a married woman, and he's a married man. That's no excuse - I'm a married man and I still love him!
StanSP Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 Spurs. 'That' goal. Grimsby or Notts County. That goal Impey skins their left back, sends in a floated cross. Izzet, running backwards. Overhead kick. Beautiful.
Guest Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 Doesn't stop some people... I am not "some people". That's no excuse - I'm a married man and I still love him! I don't think the hubby would understand.
djedmundo Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 "I probably had the chance to earn more money by moving a couple of times. Middlesbrough especially came in for me one year. But I just sort of thought I was at a good club, we were going into a new stadium, I was happy. Why mess that up for a few quid? I'm glad now because it gives you a special feeling for the area and the club." That shows he loved us as much as we loved him

But surely Simone Perrotta was the last Englishman to play in a World Cup semi-final?
Bert Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 No we won't and I don't think any club will really. Not sure about any club. Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard....
Fox92 Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 Not sure about any club. Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard.... I know, the likes of Gerrard and Carragher and that as you mentioned but I mean like starting from now if you get me. Gareth Barry, Emmanuel Adebayor, Kalo Toure all at better clubs and moved to Manchester City for the money. Ecspecially Barry who was an idol at Villa after playing what something like 300+ games. Loyalty isn't what it used to be and money talks, unless you support the club you play for and stick by them even when they don't win the trophey you really want like Steven Gerrard who is my hero...

There's a huge difference between sticking with a club like Liverpool and a club like ours.
lou Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 There's a huge difference between sticking with a club like Liverpool and a club like ours. Exactly!! Is John Terry loyal for staying with Chelsea on £160,000 a week or whatever hes on
The Doctor Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 I adore the man. But surely Simone Perrotta was the last Englishman to play in a World Cup semi-final? born in manchester, represented italy in 2006 semi against germans, Yep, good research there
Jordan Posted 6 September 2009 Posted 6 September 2009 I'll join the chorus of Izzet love. It's nice to hear that things are going well for him post-retirement.
ousefox Posted 6 September 2009 Posted 6 September 2009 One of the only players i can call a legend since i began to support City.
Matt Posted 6 September 2009 Posted 6 September 2009 No Muzzy for the Masters Grand Final. Hasn't turned up or something "Caught in traffic" apparently.
dogadug Posted 6 September 2009 Posted 6 September 2009 Shame he couldn't play in the Masters tonight - stuck in traffic!!!!
