Phube Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 "We are bottom of the league, say we are bottom of the league!!!"
Northants Fox Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 really disspinted, i was quite optimistic as well We all were mate.
securedfox Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 If it was'nt for Rob Kelly we would have been beat by 4 instead of 2! or am i being silly
nhfox Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 I hope RK realizes playing 6 defenders isn't going to work on Tuesday. I'll be very upset if Tiatto and Maybury are the wingers against Burnley.
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 We all were mate. Thought we'd draw at least... hoping at least for a win, but that was pretty bad for a team of our calibre
Trumpet Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 If it was'nt for Rob Kelly we would have been beat by 4 instead of 2! or am i being silly very silly
lookwhaticando Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 1st day of the season curse me thinks. Tiatto curse more likely. So the non-winning streak when Tiatto starts continues... Why doesn't that surprise me?
samingram_uk Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 does rob kelly not understand why Tiatto is so sh it
Northants Fox Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 Thought we'd draw at least... hoping at least for a win, but that was pretty bad for a team of our calibre We've been poor in the first match for few seasons now
lookwhaticando Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 We've been poor in the first match for few seasons now 4 seasons running at a guess?
Phube Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 1st day of the season curse me thinks. Yup as they said on Sky we've won just 1 of 19 openers away from home....
Steven Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 We've been poor in the first match for few seasons now Although we got beaten 4-1 last season against Sheff U at least we were competitive for 80 mins which was 80 more minutes than today. <_<
filbertway Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 Well that's left us all optimistic for the season I would rather have porter out on the wing than tiatto
ashwj Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 I'm not too dissapointed with the result, didn't expect anything with current system and hopefully this sham of a performance will help change that. I was dissapointed with Andy Johnson and Stearman looked slow, skills still dosn't look comfortable at LB but Kenton seemed reasonable. The problem is in my opinion, that we have brought the wrong players and didnt buy players in other key areas and I presume we don't have enough cash to go round. Above all we need a complete change in mentality.
Monk Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 Wow - that was POOR! I wasn't expecting sheer brilliance but I thought that we might at least play with some heart and some movement. As Claridge summed up at the end when asked what positives can we take out of the game 'er.... er.... none. Nothing really. They just didnt offer anything.' The only positive we can take out of the game is that it seems Henderson can now kick the ball. Maybe this week they'll teach him how to communicate with the rest of the team. I know we are always crap on the first day but thats taking the pees. If you're going to play HOOF at least HOOF it to a player over 5ft 8 or into space, not aimlessly down the line, or straight to the defender.
City_4_Life Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 We had to get that lost out of the way, and now we will go through the rest of the season unbeaten.
Suffolk_fox Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 Negatives: Not wide enough not attacking enough poor retention of the ball Stearman Tiatto Set Pieces! Positives: It wasn't 4-0 I also think it will be a long season......
lookwhaticando Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 Well that's left us all optimistic for the season I would rather have porter out on the wing than tiatto I'd rather have a one-legged donkey on the left wing! Wait a minute... Tiatto... one-legged donkey... Nevermind :pinch:
Monk Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 Well that's left us all optimistic for the season I would rather have porter out on the wing than tiatto I'd rather put Hendo on the wing than Tiatto!
