Janx Posted 22 August 2006 Posted 22 August 2006 Weren't we discussing something else until all this Switchery talk started though? NO!
Ultra Posted 22 August 2006 Posted 22 August 2006 YUUUUUKKKKKKKKK!!! Some hack from the Mockery has jumped on the bandwagon...
Guest seanfox778 Posted 22 August 2006 Posted 22 August 2006 i think this thread can end now. he has already said he isnt interested at the moment and is at Pompey for the foreseeable future. i dont think he will be leaving them anytime soon. he also said harry redknapp wouldn't be going back to portsmouth
Finnegan Posted 22 August 2006 Posted 22 August 2006 he also said harry redknapp wouldn't be going back to portsmouth
Chrysalis Posted 22 August 2006 Posted 22 August 2006 Theose payments have been deferred until such time as we're back in the Premiership. As such, they're not a pressing issue for the club right now. no the payments for the actual debt are deffered not the interest, and because they deffered it doesnt mean its ok since the actual debt amount is increasing each year its going up not down.
Chrysalis Posted 22 August 2006 Posted 22 August 2006 Well both Sky Sports and TeamTalk have picked up the story so they think there is something in it ( Linking Mandaric with us not Wednesday or Cov may I add ) seen it on the bottom bar of sky sports news, denies the bid.
Chrysalis Posted 22 August 2006 Posted 22 August 2006 The great risk is that selling our best youngsters and replacing them with the next batch (who aren't as good) would seriously weaken our team and morale. The fans would go wild, not everyone like yourself and myself watch the youngsters week in, week out and their first reactions would be pure bedlam. Crowds would drop, which could lead to all sorts. Have a word with yourself. and a relegation threat.
Bert Posted 22 August 2006 Posted 22 August 2006 Quick question. Do you people believe everything you read?
Finnegan Posted 22 August 2006 Posted 22 August 2006 Do you people believe everything you read? We... we aren't... meant to?
Strokes Posted 22 August 2006 Posted 22 August 2006 Quick question. Do you people believe everything you read? quick answer, no.
Thracian Posted 22 August 2006 Posted 22 August 2006 and a relegation threat. We had one of those last year with most of the older guard.
Finnegan Posted 22 August 2006 Posted 22 August 2006 ... er...? Sorry Thracian, I usually quite like what you've got to say regarding the youth, but you've just shot yourself in the foot there. If we had a relegation scare with the "old guard", bringing in inexperienced babies and potentially weakening the side is going to turn a relegation "threat" into a flat-out invitation to the League One disco! I love to hope that Dodds, Porter and co are the future and that we're going to have an Ipswich / Crewe-esque batch of youth phenomes that will either make us millions or a path to the premership; but expecting them to function straight away and keep us in the division when we're rocky enough already is rather silly.
Head Honcho Posted 22 August 2006 Posted 22 August 2006 PORTMOUTH chairman Milan Mandaric has denied trying to buy Leicester City- but will not rule out a future bid. Reports today indicated Mandaric was keen to land a controlling stake in the Foxes after suggesting he would not remain at Pompey in the long term. He said: "I will be at Portsmouth for the foreseeable future. If there is a time for me to move on, I always said I'm not going to go away from football." Just a snippet from the sun, think we've heard it all before!

He said: "I will be at Portsmouth for the foreseeable future. If there is a time for me to move on, I always said I'm not going to go away from football." Just a snippet from the sun, think we've heard it all before! Seems to me that when he leaves Portsmouth he will definitely, fairly soon after, get involved with another club. His silence on Leicester might be a signal of intent; as he wouldn't want to be explicit about a potential conflict of interests. On the other hand it might also mean he is trying to throw people off the sent of who he really is interested in. So in my opinion it still seems unlikely that he will make any definite movements our way.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 23 August 2006 Posted 23 August 2006 Did Mr Mandaric's proposals make sense to you Manwell? We should have an offer in by the end of the month at this rate. Things are going along quite nicely. Oops did I say too much?
