Saw Twilight over the weekend! the misses wanted to watch and i thought maybe enough time had passed for me to forget the teenage girl hype and just give it a watch - after all i like vampires and zombies and that kinda stuff!

 

What a complete an utter pile of steaming, fresh out the can, too warm for the flies to land on - SHEEE-ITE!

 

It really is an appalling piece of cinema! If anyone thinks they might give it a watch - see what all the fuss is about - DON'T! 

 

You have been warned! -4/10

Just watched Calvaire. Feels like a Belgian homage to every redneck horror movie ever made plus some.

Be prepared for a disappointing ending. It's not quite the same level of shock horror/ violence as Haute Tension nor any significant payoff. The director says it's a love story, and though an international audience probably won't get it, there's a famous French porn star in it. I'll let you guess which one it is.  :thumbup:

The Iceman ,very good film ,true story about Richard Kuklinski ,a contract killer who is supposed to have killed over 100 people

I'm 25 minutes into it and all I can say is...very good!!

The film doesn't cover half the terrible stuff he did, the movie is PG compared to the book.

Still a very good film though. Really liked it. Will have to buy the book I think.

Star Trek into Darkness. Excellent action sequences, visuals and acting, especially from Cumberbollocks, but I didn't like it. The obvious parallels to Wrath of Khan made the ending completely predictable and anti-climactic and ruined the watchable movie I had experienced thus far. It no way near matched the highs set by the superb first reboot and WoK.

But the worst thing, the very worst thing, is that the Klingons just looked wrong.

Probably very enjoyable if you haven't seen WoK, but for me 4/10.

Just finished watching Avengers Assemble, proper superhero film - destroy an entire city and just stroll off as if nothing happened.  lol

 

Still, pretty good - Downey Jr. is possibly the most cocky bastard around mind.

The Mrs has just whacked on Die Hard 10. Bruce looks about 55 and after all those tabs he smoked in the earlier Die Hard's I'm not sure he's going to have the fitness levels to test these Russians.

This was brilliant. If you're a fan of Curb You Enthusiasm it's basically one feature length episode. So good.

 

Watched it last night.  As you say, basically a 90 minute Curb Your Enthusiasm & brilliant.  Although, not enough JB Smoove for me........he brings the ruckus!!  Well worth a watch for all Curb lovers.

Watched Furious 6. The only thing worth watching it for is the maseeve Pearson nut near the end, otherwise cartoon leaps from moving vehicles make this a dull affair.

Looks like a franchise reboot at the end of it too!

I watched the first one and decided it was absolutely awful. Have never bothered with the other 5 sequels.
