Well if he goes ten we may aswell just say to the right wingers who we come up against here go through! cus maybury is shocking and so is kenton! NEJ is quality and when he puts his mind to the job he is definatly one of our better players, and i dunno wether im going mad but im sure he went forward on several occasions this season including the villa match and the fulham match. i thougt the idea of JAN was to build you squad so it can move forward not sell anyone who is decent and get relegated!

Well they've got something, or at least a possibly something for J-Lo, who we'd have paid to get rid of. We could end up with a great price for him on that form. If it's a premiership club, then we might get an inflated price for him. If any of this is true, of course.

At the begining of October I wouldnt have agreed with you I'd have wanted NEJ out and either Sheehan or Tiatto at Leftback... but since that very slow start he's been pretty decent (seems to have had some bust with RK... along with two thirds of the squad which means we've seen less of him at late and have had to make do with Mabbs and Kenton at leftback ), still he seems to want out - but i cant see anyone in the prem wanting to stump up for him, so we should look into a one year contract for him... but I'd recommend getting Jensen from Fulham if possible as not only can he play at left back but he provides cover in the holding role of midfield and to be honest I'm yet to see anyone in the current squad who can fulfil that key role. But this is just distracting from the fact that we have zero consistently credible rightwingers or attacking midfield players in the entire squad and thats has to be our main area of concern, then a striker who can hold up or work as a target... and then maybe we can think about left backs... so Jensen then

He wouldnt come cheap though as he was linked to a 600k bid from Sheff Utd which was reportedly turned down. As for Nils, Ive never been his biggest fan but I must admit at one of my pet hates is for players to leave and we get fudge all for the pleasure. Last year is was Joey Gudjohnsen who was arguably worth about a million after a decent season and this time around Nils doesnt want to resign and once again we would loose a player worth £500-600k We are in no position to lose money at the moment so lets pray we sell him and get a few hundred grand to use elsewhere.
amitoo Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 NEJ considering the size of him and the pace he doesn't have i think he has done well as a left back, cause he is know as a center-back, but he uses he weight well around the left defence area, the only thing he has left us down with is his pace, he just get ripped down by a decent right winger. I think we as a club always had a left back problem, what about that billy jones? i think he plays for Crewe but i'm not sure on what side of the defence he plays either right or left
Ric Flair Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Regardless of what I think of Nisse, his contract is up in the summer and it's highly unlikely that he'd want to stay here when it expires. If this is true and we've accepted a bid and it's from a premiership club, then again he'd never stay here if a premiership club wanted him. He's gone on record as saying he wants to return to the top flight. He's improved this season at left back, as a centre half he has always been good enough at this level and i'm a little disappointed he never got more of a chance there. But Kisnorbo and McAuley are more mobile than Nisse so i'm glad he's not keeping either of those two out. Just McCarthy to worry about now! If we get a fee for him, then i'd be fairly happy.

I Read this earlier on today, i looked up his stats and he could be a good signing pretty tall for a player so a good target man who could head the ball down for our short forwards, specially with fryatt and hume they could get on to the ball. could be a good area man for corners and free-kicks.

I saw this guy several times last season and the season before and he looked dangerous. What's gone on with him to be available for that price? Obviously they have Beckett as well now who will always score goals in that division, he's just completley out of favour. I've even herd talk of him dropping down to League Two.

Right winger is essential, but I think Kelly will just keep Hughes or Cadamarteri out there. I still think we need a new striker if we can get rid of Hammond or/and O'Grady
