Mort Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 BBC Rumour page saying Dowie to come in as manager after MM takes over... nothing much new there then.
SystonFox Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 BBC Rumour page saying Dowie to come in as manager after MM takes over... nothing much new there then. NOTW also say this when the takover is complete early in the week.
Milky Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 If Dowie is so desperate for work why not go back on star trek? i thought he did a good job on that show
Brummie-FOX Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 .. whilst the Daily Express said early LAST week
LCFCIMPS Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 I'v just read Leicester want Bristol City's Enoch Showunmi and will offer 100,000 plus Robert Douglas to lure the striker to the championship. Showunmi only arrived at Ashton Gate in the summer on a free transfer from Luton but has earned rave reviews after netting nine times for the Robins. The 6ft 6in striker is wanted by Foxes boss Rob Kelly to partner Matty Fryatt in a little and large partnership at the Walkers Stadium. Douglas, the former scotland international who havn't played for leicester this season, will be offered as a makeweight in the cash-plus player deal
He's not bald Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 We've got to sign this joker. I'll have it on the back of my shirt. Hopefully he's a replacement for McCarthy. Cerezo Fung a Wing. Only if he comes with Singapore fried rice and some prawn crackers!
He's not bald Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 Cerezo Fung a Wing. Only if he comes with Singapore fried rice and some prawn crackers! We've got Cerezo Fung a Wing.... on the wing on the wing
Daggers Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 Cerezo Fung a Wing. Only if he comes with Singapore fried rice and some prawn crackers! Wouldn't that be funnier if you had said 'chips and mayonnaise' as the food stereotype...what with seeing as he is Dutch and everything?

Hullfox Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 what do people think to signing stephen jordan from man city?? my brother heard he wanted to leave so he can play first team football. decent left back!? Isn't he the first choice left back? Thought that's why Thatch left.
City Lad Posted 15 January 2007 Posted 15 January 2007 True!true!true! kelly won't leave for dowie. Leicester City are definately set to sign Charlton stand in skipper matthew holland for 500k and sign izale mclead for 500k and part exchange Alan sheehan. Leicester will try to loan craig Beattie from Celtic but will fail instead they will look to sign right winger danny invincible from Kilmarnock for an undisclosed fee. I was in the ticket office at the Walkers Stadium to pick up the Fulham away match tickets, Rob Kelly came out of his car, followed by Matt Holland of Charlton Athletic. Holland has been mentioned in and around the Leicester City fans, and is probably Rob Kelly's number one target as soon as Mandaric completes his takeover at the club. It is believed the fee will be around £300, 000. football rumours

London_Fox Posted 15 January 2007 Posted 15 January 2007 Other then the fact that it's utter crap the thing that gets me about football rumours is sentences like this: "Leicester will try to loan craig Beattie from Celtic but will fail" If the person writing the rumour already knows that Leicester will fail, surely Leicester also know that they will fail and won't bother trying...that even manages to discredit the 'Rob Kelly came out of car and was followed by Matty Holland' bit. Having said that I really rate Matt Holland and think he would be a good signing for us.
Geo V Posted 15 January 2007 Posted 15 January 2007 Matt Holland offers more than any player we have in the holding midfield role as he has a decent shot on him and occasionally can deliver set pieces. He is the time of old sod we need, not washed up yet!
MC Prussian Posted 15 January 2007 Posted 15 January 2007 Now on footballrumours: "Leicester sign Jesus - better fortunes imminent"

Ric Flair Posted 15 January 2007 Posted 15 January 2007 Why on earth would Matty Holland come here? He's Charlton's captain at the minute!!. If he's mad enough to come here then fair do's. Quality player.
