lookwhaticando Posted 29 January 2007 Posted 29 January 2007 Eh what? What's going on now? Did I miss sommat?
Daggers Posted 29 January 2007 Posted 29 January 2007 He has no interest in football, purely status - he knows nothing about the game, just golf. Please God tell me that you aren't intimating what I think you're intimating BF? Please...

Please God tell me that you aren't intimating what I think you're intimating BF? Please... He's always down at the training ground for the Academy matches, not just ten minutes and then off he goes. He stays and watches 'til the end.
lookwhaticando Posted 29 January 2007 Posted 29 January 2007 Who needs Milan? We've got the Weetabixman! Welcome Mr George. That sorta thing?
Daggers Posted 29 January 2007 Posted 29 January 2007 He's always down at the training ground for the Academy matches Maybe he likes creamy thighs?
Libertine Posted 29 January 2007 Posted 29 January 2007 Why don't you just reach in there n fish it out?
lookwhaticando Posted 30 January 2007 Posted 30 January 2007 Why don't you just reach in there n fish it out? The weetabix? Why? Is it causing discomfort?
Ric Flair Posted 30 January 2007 Posted 30 January 2007 MG raised an interest when Mandaric came to the fore front, didn't he? I wouldn't be surprised to see MG save us, should the Mandaric deal go tits up. This sounds promising.
The People's Hero Posted 30 January 2007 Posted 30 January 2007 Might focus the mind on the task at hand now. Eh Milan?
Ric Flair Posted 30 January 2007 Posted 30 January 2007 Might focus the mind on the task at hand now. Eh Milan? One way or another, this club will not be in the same hands as it is by next season. Thank god for that.
Dr The Singh Posted 30 January 2007 Posted 30 January 2007 Is this all specualtion or is there some fact to this story??????
Ric Flair Posted 30 January 2007 Posted 30 January 2007 Is this all specualtion or is there some fact to this story?????? Barton knows his stuff, especially when MG is concerned.
surrifox Posted 30 January 2007 Posted 30 January 2007 Now I'm confused. (Not an unusual state of affairs I confess) MG has been around the club since the early 90's to my knowledge. He got bundles from selling the family firm . Presumably he could have bought the club for buttons before MM appeared to breathe life into the corpse. What's changed? where is the value to be gained by stepping in at this stage? Is this simply a MG v MM big swinging dick contest from which the club will get no benefit Is this subject without any substance at all?

Maybe, well hopefully MG is smarter than we think and has waited for/allowed MM to beat down the price so that he can step in at the last minute, get us for a knock down price and appear as the LCFC's Knight in Shining Armour and we'll all love him.
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 30 January 2007 Posted 30 January 2007 I thought Engelbert Humperdink was going to buy us out....
Thracian Posted 30 January 2007 Posted 30 January 2007 Well if Martin George is going to come galloping in I hope he doesn't leave it too late. In some ways relegation might be a blessing - but it would be nice to effect positive change without going down.

Some wise investment, could see SUBSTANTIAL gains, should we reach the premiership. Opportunity to make this a really good investment.
Monk Posted 30 January 2007 Posted 30 January 2007 Barton are you just blowing some hot air or is there genuinely something going on?
Ric Flair Posted 30 January 2007 Posted 30 January 2007 Barton are you just blowing some hot air or is there genuinely something going on? He knows what he's talking about when it comes to MG.
