Milky Posted 15 February 2007 Posted 15 February 2007 If you're wrong do i have permission to do whatever i want to you? i'm thinking blackballing to start, then i'll bring a fish into proceedings, perhaps in a facial capacity. I better get that large trout ready then. He gave me permission to do what i want to him. Is he telling porkies
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 February 2007 Posted 15 February 2007 Last season Leicester had the most shots on goal of any Championship side, as far as I'm aware. Sorreh. That is actually a true stat.
The People's Hero Posted 15 February 2007 Posted 15 February 2007 Granted it was a bad example using him but most of the games I have been to the strikers have had little to feed off because the midfield is so inept. I take your point... but Fryatt/Hume could easily be on 15/20 goals this season if they'd only finished the SIMPLE chances. RVN would be on 15/20 by now, no problem. As for Todorov, not quite the same class. I don't think he'd be worrying though, he'd wait for a chance to come, then try and take it. Besides, he's unlikely to be the ONLY loan signing so perhaps we might start creating more chances.
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 February 2007 Posted 15 February 2007 wasn't that predominanlty down to joey constantly ballooning within 40 yards of goal? Nah, they hit the bar most of the time. Or Row Z, one of them went in.
Daggers Posted 15 February 2007 Posted 15 February 2007 That is actually a true stat. ...and stats never lie do they Has anyone counted shots on goal and compared them to the figure given by RL or on the website? Whenever I've done it the two never marry up, it's as if someone is diddling the stats in order to make us look better.
The People's Hero Posted 15 February 2007 Posted 15 February 2007 I just can't get away from the thought of Ultra with his flies gaping open. I mean, imagine, you're Todorov... would you want that?
Flynny Posted 15 February 2007 Posted 15 February 2007 wasn't that predominanlty down to joey constantly ballooning within 40 yards of goal? Yeah he single handedly dragged us to the top of the shots charts without the rest of the squad. That is actually a true stat. Cheers. I thought so but wasn't 100% sure.

I thought so but wasn't 100% sure. There was another stat that we'd hit the post/bar more than anyone else as well. Again probabley Joey and his 50 Yarders.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 15 February 2007 Posted 15 February 2007 No he wouldn't. You're talking complete sh it. I've lost track of the amount of simple chances I've seen Hume, Fryatt and Hammond miss... Not so sure, considering that we don't provide enough chances !!!
teblin Posted 15 February 2007 Posted 15 February 2007 Todorov would maybe make the most of those 2 or 3 half chances we provide. That the like of hume and fryatt maybe can't, and the that elvis definately can't.

That the like of hume and fryatt maybe can't, and the that elvis definately can't. Ive had these type of arguements with some Arsenal mates who probably have rightly said that a player is only as good as his team mates. We we chatting about how good Alliadiare is looking this season and I said it must be because he is improving with age or learned a bit when on loan to the likes of Celtic and Wolves and they snapped me down by saying he looks good in a decent team. If he went back into the championship he would look average? I dunno about that but its going to be similar for us. If Todorov or players of his class do turn up, we need to have a midfield that can supply quality chances and a striker by him who will help his game or else he will look ordinary. Michael Chopra is proof of a decent quality premiership player who was devoid of first team football who has stepped down and looked good. I hope we get someone as effective as we need a 20+ goal scorer next season.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 15 February 2007 Posted 15 February 2007 Despite what the Daily Star says, I think Todorov will come here now considering he's spoke out about the way he has been treated at Pompey !!
dannyallen1992 Posted 15 February 2007 Posted 15 February 2007 Despite what the Daily Star says, I think Todorov will come here now considering he's spoke out about the way he has been treated at Pompey !! Agree with you i think he will come after all the injuries he has had and what is he now 4th or 5th choice striker for them now might as well come what has he got to lose
DB11 Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Supposed to be unveiled today then? We'll see ¬_¬
OzFox311 Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Don't know much about him... but we have strikers and none are doing the job, we have Milan, may as well go get him and see what he can do on loan, worst thing that happens is he gets tossed for not performing once the loan contract is up...
Master Fox Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Supposed to be unveiled today then? We'll see ¬_¬ And if he's not...??
DB11 Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Then the people who said it would be announced today were wrong? (read back the pages..)

He is referring to the pages previous to this one, not the Back Pages (AKA the sports sections of newspapers). In particular, he is saying that because FNQ says it is a done deal...then it must be a done deal.
