Manwell Pablo Posted 27 March 2007 Posted 27 March 2007 Well at 20:00 tomorrow the over paid under performing "super stars" of England will trot out of the tunnel of the Estadi OlÃÂmpic LluÃÂs Companys in Barcelona (I think that’s where they agreed to play it?) to play a pub team whos better native players would rather play in Serie C, Segunda Division B and Ligue 2 amongst other great footballing leagues on a Wednesday night instead of playing for their national team. Who's bothering to watch it? It's a game England will win 999/1000 no matter how poorly they play, no matter who they play, no matter how they play. Can you be arsed? Excuse to spend the night in the pub for the first time in ages in my case. Are we going to score a decent amount of goals or will it be another Liechtenstein esque 2-0 victory dull as ditch water affair. And is a 0-0 draw completely out of the question? It was only last month that Roy Keane very nearly had to eat his words after claiming that the Cliche "There is no such thing as a easy international game these days" was utter crap as San Marino was always an easy game . For me it's going to another dull night of football. 2-0 or 3-0 I'm going for with the country finest Pipes, slippers and smoking jackets being on display for the full ninety minutes <_<.
filbertway Posted 27 March 2007 Posted 27 March 2007 Andorra 2-1 England. What would happen if we played good football and won 9-0, do you think the press would start loving McClaren and all the players and say we're definately going to qualify and definately win euro 2008? That was not aimed at the person I quoted And I predict 4-0.

No result would convince me he's made any progress, not against that lot, sorry. And I don't think even the English press are that stupid either.
Nationwider Posted 27 March 2007 Posted 27 March 2007 I won't watch this game. There are too many piss-poor nations involved in Euro/World qualifiers in Europe these days. They have no hope of ever proceeding to the finals of a major competition. I'm all for the underdog, but I feel that FIFA/UEFA have got to pull back maybe 14/16 countries and and allow say two of those to pre-qualify for every major qualifying event. All they are serving to do is clog up the fixture calendar with rubbish matches. The likes of Andorra, San Marino and Azerbijhan are the real reason the likes of Wenger, Mourinho etc are complaining about the congested fixture list, not FA Cup replays. If you remove 3/4 rubbish international games a year against crap like that, it would free up a couple of free Premiership weekends for resting the top players, and maybe a couple more weekends for the England squad to train, instead of playing in some pointless match against a tin-pot outfit from behind the Iron Curtain, or some village in northern Spain. FA Cup replays good - Andorra bad.
Mikey Posted 27 March 2007 Posted 27 March 2007 Andorra 2-1 England. Don't. I nearly killed myself just seeing that.
Flynny Posted 27 March 2007 Posted 27 March 2007 2-0, unconvincingly. I'd say Hargreaves and Johnson if I had to pick goalscorers, but I don't have any real reason why I think they'll score.
C-man Posted 27 March 2007 Posted 27 March 2007 I'm going for 2-0, McClaren to stay in a job, and for much of the same press coverage on Thursday.
Daggers Posted 27 March 2007 Posted 27 March 2007 I shall be watching and announcing loudly to everyone in the vicinity that I firmly believe we would be better if David Beck-Ham was given the captaincy back-ham. I prognosticate that England shall win by three of your English goals, The Ginger one shall declare it a marvellous success, the Tel will leave the stadium in a grump and all the squad will have sex in a hotel room with a few slappers and think themselves Gods.
lookwhaticando Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 We ought to win by 10 clear goals. We we'll do well to manage a tenth of that tally.
PAULCFC Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 We'll win,but even if we win 10:0 it'll just be papering over the cracks.Bit like watching lcfc
Geo V Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 Andorra 0-6 England They`ll be a backlash from the players who will raise there games but unfortunately it will be a false dawn because our opponenst are shite and they should be playing well against the decent teams in the group. McClaren will be beaming like he just masterminded a win over Brazil and all will be well until a decent team stuffs us in our next match. BTW Rooney will score 2. Mystic Geo
Ric Flair Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 I'm going to hide my sky remote when I get home, so I can't watch it even if i'm tempted. They don't deserve my support, even from the arm chair. I shall watch Italy v Scotland instead and then The Apprentice. This is the first time I can ever recall not watching England when i've got nothing else to do, that's what it's come to. I said McLaren would make Sven look like a footballing god and that's exactly what's happening. We'll be begging for a Sven-like record if it get's much worse and I believe it will. 3-0 to us tonight and McLaren will be wet with excitement afterwards. He's a prat.
Durnerz Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 A drab 1-0 to us going in off the arse of an Andorra player, oh how I love to watch my country.
Flexx Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 I actually want Andorra to at least force a draw or win. Anything to get that idiot McLaren out of the job, COME ON ANDORRA (Unfortunately it won't happen though Andorra 0-2 England)
Wycombe Fox Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 I'm going to hide my sky remote when I get home, so I can't watch it even if i'm tempted. They don't deserve my support, even from the arm chair. Any chance of a pre-match, post-match interview with McClaren like the one you did with RK?

Muahahaha we were right MUAUAHAHAHAHAHA WE WERE RIGHT!! AHAHAHAHAH. See we don't get everything wrong.
Ric Flair Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 Any chance of a pre-match, post-match interview with McClaren like the one you did with RK? I don't think it's possible to even try and match McLaren, he is a helmet of the highest order.
Milky Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 I don't think it's possible to even try and match McLaren, he is a helmet of the highest order. and full of cheese looking at that perma-smurk.
Flexx Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 What I don't get is why he's always smiling. Even if we lose 6-1 against Andorra tonight, he would still find something to smile about. It's obvious he's trying to do exactly the opposite of what Sven did to make everyone happy (Always smiling, dropping Beckham, doing interviews all the time etc.) He doesn't know what he's doing basically, being a good manager is not about smiling and speaking to the media - it's about winning games. I know who I would prefer
breadandcheese Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 We will beat Andorra tonight. Let's put it into perspective. Leyton Orient would probably beat Andorra. I can see the after match interview with McClare now. "We've got 4 points from two away ties. We've done well" Erm... no Steve... we are rubbish. Yes we are missing Joe Cole and Michael Owen but you are a clueless t*t and can you please stop grinning like a fool.
