Tuesday night

Recommended Posts

I have to admit that although I'm a fully grown, reasonably sobre middle aged man, I feel emotional about my Club just now.

Thus a plea for Tuesday night.

Remember that game at Filbo when we got relegated from the Prem? We played Man U, and sang our hearts out throughout.

Remember that first Prem game at the Walkers.?The first half atmo against Southampton

Remember a 1-1 home draw with Wolves in an evening game? The Kop song relentlessly for 20 minutes at the start of the second half, and imho virtually made Maybury score.

My point is this. The players seem incapable of lifting themselves. Could we do it for them? I'm not saying I know how to make it happen, but if 90% of Leicester fans stood from 5 minutes before kick off and started singing 'we love you Leicester, we do' etc, again, and again, and again, I have no doubt it would inspire our players, and who knows, could even lift us to the win which would pretty much keep us afloat.

I'd hate us to go down with a whimper. If you don't normally sing, sing on Tuesday night.

Our Club needs us, its loyal supporters, to inspire the undeserving overpaids on the pitch.

Nothing would inspire these halfwits!

They don't care about the fans, the club, the game! As long as they get there pay there happy!

It works both ways WE pay for them to entertain us, If they entertain us it produces a good atmosphere, they get spured on by the good atmosphere, and so on.

SACK EM' ALL!

Edit - They have obviously gave up this season and I just about have aswell! Cheers lads!

if we don't get at least a point from the game on tuesday and teams around us win it'll put a lot of pressure on the players in the next game and we know the players aint very good with pressure

With about 80 people in block n and 300 odd in L1 against 3000 Brummies on the verge of going up, we'll get outsung. Easily.

That's my fear. I just hope, perhaps without much optimism, that something or someone gets the place going on Tuesday, and we at least create the atmosphere.

I'm allowed to hope

Where abouts do you sit?

In N block the atmosphere is okay we just lack numbers but on saturday Lee Jobber (Fat bloke, no T-shirt) had a huge drum in L1 which lifted the atmosphere a lot.

Bit harsh.

I sit in the East stand, where there's hardly ever any noise. no criticism intended of the lads and lasses who make noise already. My plea is to the silent majority.

I suggest you move your ticket to N or L block (unless that's what you meant as East stand) because there's not much hope with the rest of the ground to be honest.

Yes our Club does need us. Maybe if everybody came up 5 minutes before kick off (everyone that is gonna sing) and the whole stadium (of those who want 2 sing) will sing 'We love you Leicester, we do'. If we can get a lot more people singing before the game the players just might hear it and come out more revved up for the game.

Just a suggestion :dunno:

forget the singing section and the drum (althogh I think these have been relatively successful) - if the club really cared about improving the atmosphere, they should move the away fans into the Kop/East stand corner and stick the existing singing section and N block boys around the other side (i.e surround the away fans with the leicester fans who are prepared to sing) The club could also tell the stewards to not give a toss about people standing. What's depressing is that the club will never do this because of 'safety fears' - but let's face it, it's never really kicked off at the grund since we started playing there...

Good first post, thats what they seemed to do at the Hawthorns, West Brom, the home fans in the same section as us all stood and sang whereas the rest just sat like here.

But the club would never do this for safety reasons, for the numbers of people in N/L the noise and atmosphere is very good and IMo was excellant on saturday, if we keep that up I feel we're doing our part. I'm not trying to point fingers at the kop but if they really want to sing / stand, move!!

And does your boss have to ring you 5 mins before you leave for work, trying to gear you up ? No he or she doesn't because you do it yourself. For f**k sake these are footballers who don't give a s**t because they are overpaid dimwits. Just look at some of the pointless stupid bookings we have collected. Some of them want to be suspended........still get paid don't they ?

But equally, if I couldn't do my job properly, I'd expect to know about it and expect some heat from the boss.

If he turned a blind eye or couldn't get me to work properly, he has to shoulder some of the blame.

There is also the question over how we've got dumped we've these shirkers. RK.

Lets be honest, if every single person in the Kop was standing, they couldnt do anything about it. People are always standing at other grounds, they cant do anything when its the whole stand.

I think they`ll be alot of tension tomorrow and the atmosphere will be muted at times and then kick off. Its difficult to raise the vocals when you feel like trouble lies ahead. It seems to be easier when you think you are fooked! BTW an example of this was Spurs vrs Sevilla. When they thought they were out after Sevillas early goals, the fans were so loud I didnt recognise that it was Spurs lol, they tehn score two and for the next 20 mins the fans were quiet as they thought they could win it the prats!

Im hoping tobe there tomorrow night god willing and I`ll be singing my heart out thats for sure.

I think you'd slowly start to see them doing things about it. They won't go into the stands and physically drag people out of them - they've been in trouble for it before methinks. No, the new tactic is to wait for people to go onto the concourse during half-time or when they need to go to the toilet, and then "escort" them out of the ground. :)

For what it's worth, I'd obviously love for the atmosphere at home to greatly improve, but unless we're playing awe-inspiring football, standing is reintroduced or the Kop is switched with the Family Stand, I can't see it happening.
