We have to have about the loudest fan base on the circuit judging by that.

It's about time our County was given it's dues. A Leicester born captain, pivotal roles from 3 young academy produced players and England's youngest ever multi-format international emerging this year.

And when you dig a little deeper this is the pot list over the last 30 years:

Warwickshire 13

Gloucs (all shorter format), Lancs, Essex 8

Hants (all short format), Sussex 7

Leics, Notts (despite the pinching) 6

Durham, Kent, Glamorgan 5

Somerset, Yorks (massive club eh) 4

Middlesex (home of cricket eh), Northants 2

Derbyshire 1

We're one of only 9 counties to win the CC in that time. Northants have only won T20 and Derbyshire last won something 30 years ago.

We have more pots that 4 teams that have had Test Match status including the self styled biggest club in the UK. We have the same as Notts despite their behaviour and money. Also plenty more trophies that Somerset who have a far wider reach into the south west.

Who'd have thought it!

Just seen this  fair play thought a few of these Counties had won more best ignore my previous post

I've seen a couple of match reports, saying this was Leicestershire's first silverware for 38 years.

Funny that, because i'm sure when i saw them lift the County Championship trophy in 1996 and 1998, it looked a bit silvery to me.

I couldn't get to the T20 wins in 2004, 2006 and 2011.  But i bet they got some silverware for those as well.

The report said "silverware" not "list A".   That's what I was pointing out.   If you're going to do match reports, at least use the correct words and phrases.

What was in the water at Hove last week and what the hell did we do to upset them so much?

Assaulting and racially abusing our players, for daring to get close to their 500. Hopefully it’ll be more than a 12 point deduction and their season is over. Losers.

It looked like Haines and Carson apologised in their statements to their team mates and fans but no mention of to us or our players?

May have just missed it though if the statements weren't copied in full where I read them but poor if so.

Have to say, given what our players have been through at times this season while under the scrutiny of what’s happened in previous seasons, their conduct seems to have been pretty impressive. Fair play to them and Hill.

(Cue mad punch up at the end of the season and a 20-point deduction.)

The forums for the broadsheets are full of comments pointing this out. It is ridiculous to apologise to everyone but the subject of your misbehaviour, the epitome of remorse for the consequences not the actions.

Heat of the moment comment but Thomas told RL on Saturday he'd be getting him signed up today.

Do we conclude then, that Thomas will be offered the Head Coach job, with titch as Assistant. We'll still need another coach as we're one short.

Thought it be titch tbh, Thomas said he didn't want it yet.

Evans for Budinger seems the right decision based on the latter's form and the former deserving a chance to back up his Cup final innings.

Swindells in as a specialist bat is something I hope we see more of next season given his ability and Cox's keeping.

Will Davis making a good fist of what could be one of his final opportunities to suggest he's worth a new contract as Evans and Swindells did on Saturday.

I didn't include 2nd division trophies, only ones where a side has come top of the pile.

I think if Davies can stay fit he is better cover than, Finan, Walker and Barnes. If we keep one I'd keep Davies. He can also hold a bat and field.

Still need two seamers for next year.

They are all essentially cover, unless one of them kicks on and improves and they are all young enough still to do that. But we need an attack leader to replace Wright.

A seam bowler must be leaving Notts. By my reckoning they have: Fletcher, Tongue, Stone, Pennington, Paterson, Ball, Hutton, Pettman, James and whichever overseas bowler they sign.
