I wonder what ball they are playing with? I know that the next four rounds of CC will be using the Kookaburra.

The way it's been flying off the wicket, probably one of those balls made up of hundreds of rubber bands wrapped around each other.

Just for confirmation, the Second XI regulations simply say "Grade 1 quality red balls of Dukes, Kookaburra or Gunn & Moore manufacture shall be used in Second Xl Championship matches, to be determined by the home team."

You would think with the Kookaburra being used in the next four rounds of CC XI fixtures, they're almost certainly using one in the current 2nd XI fixtures.

Judging by the number of wickets that have fallen in this game I would say it’s a kookaburra. Four wickets in two days/190 overs! You’ve got to feel for the bowlers, especially in this heat. I hope we fans haven’t got to contend with this tedium for the next four Championship games. Good to see we are fighting back though. Harry on 99* and has been on the field wearing an helmet either batting or keeping for two solid days now!

Harry Swindells showing how to be a great club man today having taken off his wicket keeping gloves and helmet to bowl  five overs and take 1-35!

Need to get a new contract sorted for next season. If Patel fails again tonight suspect Swindells will replace him when the T20 returns

New contract to not play, no thanks. If Handscomb comes back we have him and Hill also capable of stepping in if Cox gets injured. Weirdly for all the criticism of the club losing money, you seem very happy for us to pay Swindells when he isn't really needed.

Was it some effort to push a result? 7 an over ain’t far off buffet stuff?

Why put them in? Every time Kimber wins the toss he gets it wrong, they're smashing it everywhere and will no doubt get 200 and we will have huge pressure. We bat all the way down to 9 and 10 why not bat first and get the score on the board???

I'd hazard a guess that the team back themselves to chase anything down.

Despite evidence to the contrary.

I agree, it would be nice if they actually backed themselves to set a decent target and put the pressure onto the opposition.

Kimbers bowling choices are a disgrace yet again. Not even poor decisions but appalling.

This guy man. How are we gonna have Mike bowling 4 with Wood, Scriven and Trevaskis all having overs in the bank 🤷🏻‍♀️

Notts have got to be disappointed with this, pitch and outfield look perfect for a big score. Rehan and Scriven have bowled very well though.

156 is definitely gettable on this surface.

We may get away with it, but it looks like a major mistake. Scriven and Trevaskis both 3 overs for 18. Mike 4 overs for 49.
