I believe it's top 3. Top of each group go straight through to a Semi then 2nd and 3rd play quarter finals.

Tbf I didn’t see his first 20-30 balls, but his  ability to play it late was superb and presumably quicker than a run a ball after that start.

As  Sydney Youngblood would say all we can do is sit and wait.Looked decent yesterday but it wasn't the strongest attack in the world.Seem to recall people on here saying Michael Thornley was the real deal after he scored 97 and 100 on debut v Glamorgan look how that turned out Gregor McMillan another case in point.

A good start for Shaikh and a timely indication that he's hopefully got the potential to be a decent player given that next season he will likely need to replace the runs of the other player who went big in Patel.

It’s a shame if he’s left because we couldn’t offer him enough money. I think having leaders like him around the club would be key.

This is someone that had an England lions cap at 18 though, and clearly is our future. Thornley truly was a product of the joke banter era, think Robbie Joseph too.

Robbie Joseph correct me if I’m wrong was brilliant on debut and then faded away. Can I throw Jermaine Lawson in the hat 🤣 I’m pretty sure he was with us for a time.

Gregor was probably with us at the wrong time, we were so strong back then, if I remember correctly it was the end of the Nigel Briers era and the start of our glory years, big mates with Iain Sutcliffe.

Yes Joseph took 11 wickets I think.on debut and you are Correct Lawson played for us in 2008 was useful.for the West Indies terrible for us even in the 2nds went around the park.Lives in the states now

Hampshire will no doubt also be in div 2 next season.Think he's well down the order with England tbh and he's not getting any younger turns 28 in a couple of weeks

Point is McMillan scored 100s in his first 2 matches and looked the real deal then just faded away.Shame he was great player to watch.Would have got a contract in the hundred if he played now.

It’s not as if england haven’t been picking our players though, I just don’t think his average/technique is good enough for international cricket. Being at Hampshire is hardly going to help that cause either. I’d understand if it were a bigger county. Maybe he is just ready for a change/wants to be closer to family.
