We've been too slack in the field as well

a few quick wickets needed and just tighten everything up, now the time to take the pace off the ball imo

It's the fielding more than the bowling. Pathetic

Brooke Guest is a useful player. Good pick up for them.

As soon as Masood had got going our total never looked enough to me. Second best again.

Credit to Lilley for finally putting in a good knock and to Ahmed and Mike for bowling well again though.

Let down by the batting. Should of made at least 200 there. Ackerman came in and could hardly get it off the square which increased the pressure at the other end. The bowling from us in the power play was poor also.

Turned off at the start of the 6th over of their reply. It ended up being closer than I thought it would be but the result was inevitable after they got 70 in just over 5 overs.

Yet again we've been mauled by a top quality overseas batsman. Masood 70 off 32 balls, compared to Rutherford 35 off 28 sums it up. If we still had Inglis instead of Rutherford we'd be elevated from a below average team to one that is really competitive. Bit like Northants have been with Lynn.

The tactics today were baffling, though. We'd seen how their spinners had slowed the scoring and yet we chose to bowl mainly pace in the power play. Mike and Davis are just not suited to bowling at that stage.

Chances of qualifying for the QFs all but gone now. Can't remember ever getting beaten twice by Derby in a T20 season. And that's on top of them beating us by an innings in the Championship. Sad times.

Rutherford in the NZ test squad tomorrow due to Williamson coming down with covid. Will be good to see someone else opening against Notts (personally I’d play Hill opening and bring in Welch or Swindells).

That's good news about Rutherford. Hopefully that means he's played his last game for us. He's been a disastrous signing. Whoever opens instead of him can't do worse.

If we don't put up a good fight tonight and show some bloody organisation in front of the home crowd then that's it for the season

Still got the 50 over Comp should do well in that unlike most other Sides we will be able to field an almost first 11

We’re losing Parkinson, Ackerman and Ahmed which is more than a fair few counties. Steel will be the front line spinner I guess.
