Mulder wins 6 of the 11 end of season awards. Well played 👏

Is he coming back?

Don't suppose we know

We have far too much deadwood, some at best below average players who have failed elsewhere.. Finan looks different , left hander with no coaching but decent pace so maybe someone we can work on but some shambolic decisions seem to have been made at the club. The overseas players really need to stand out, Mulder did but Hendricks came with an injury and the less said about the T20 import the better. Sure if the ECB could dump 1 county we know who it would be. Produce a pitch at the FCG that takes spin and at least give Ahmed, Parkinson with Ackermann and Kimber as back up a chance. Something like 9 losses and 5 draws in the county championship and in 4 of the draws we were hanging on. Apart from the Hove road that would have taken about 10 days to get a result the red ball results were shocking. Anyone any ideas how our wage bill compares with some of the other poorer counties?

Would guess that considering we have or had a squad of around 28 players compared to club's like Derby and Northants who have around 20 it would e higher if anything

Why have we had so many? Going for quantity rather than quality?

Partly that and I think the squad has bloated through long contracts being dished out to players Nico then decides he doesn't want to use or players like Griffiths who started out OK and then became useless and unused.

Losing Dan Weston is a blow. He's very sharp, in the past he's said he wants a DoC type role so I can imagine he might have applied for it.

Azad wrote some lovely words on the club today.

Good riddance.

The last thing we need at this club is someone who really genuinly cares about it, whom the fans like and also whom averages close to 40 with the increasingly rare ability and temperament to bat time. Oh and even rack up tons at a steady rate whilst doing it. If we want a team that can actually win in four day games we clearly need less of this sort of player for sure.

Hang on...

We've had a mare here. Genuinly wish Azad all the best though and hope he scores lots of runs wherever he ends up, which I'm sure he will.

Gonna score an absolute load for whoever picks him up, seems a really poor decision by us. Doesn't make any sense

I certainly doesn’t. It’s just mistake after mistake after mistake and no one is being held accountable

In the mean time Derbyshire have signed Matt Lamb. Looks like a good player with room to improve.

The type of player we should be attracting.

In all honesty, for a player looking to move, there’s very little attractiveness about us.

I could actually imagine Jarvis, Henderson and Nixon reading this thread and the negativity still going over all their heads.

"better to be talked about than not"

Nathan Buck retires from professional Cricket.

Thought when he started with us he'd go on and play many times for England at full level but not to be...Still must have been a heck of a 15 years or so for a local lad

I worked at Manly Oval in Sydney as a kid keeping score on the scoreboard and I heard shouts of “Bucky” all afternoon but I had no idea he was English or that he had played so much county cricket !!

Pretty solid career looking at it properly statistically but wonder how lucrative it would be

Losing Azad is criminal.

another example of the management not having a f’ing clue

Don't worry we'll replace him with someone who has hardly ever played and averages 25.

Or we do what we did with Harris and just not replace him.

25? Loving your optimism.
