Sikandar Raza is another Zim player who’d do a job.

He's a serious player. Well worth a look in my opinion.

Zimbabwe fans though absolutely rave about Welch and don't understand why he doesn't play for us. 2 90s so far for him in their 50 over tournament.

Return to form with the bat for Ackermann this morning after 62 in 48 balls against Bangladesh. All in vain for the windmill loving clog wearers unfortunately.

Ajinkya Rahane on board for next season apparently. That's a belting signing and will offer a lot on and off the pitch.

That's a serious player coming on board. Very impressed.

Hope so but previously with big name Indian players this has never actually materialised.

Yeah. Not just an issue for us though, can't really recall any counties getting a boost in crowds from a big name Indian overseas.

Hopefully that changes though...

On paper it's a great signing and has flex to open and go down to 4 if required.

Yep on paper fantastic.

Not confirmed  though as far as I can see?

Doesnt have the best record in England though, averages 26 playing here. Albeit at international level. You'd like to think he'll be plenty good enough for the county game.

Experience and leadership qualities as well.

Still about 25 more than any of our current openers lol

Its barely believable as he is a good thinker and leader as well; previously captaining various sides. I think he even captained India in one or two formats at one time. He also plays all formats of the game. I really hope we have him signed up for all competitions.

Make no mistake about it, he is a world class player and a genuine competitor. This is very unlike us.

Ah, actually... he's Indian isn't he so presumably the unspoken rule about not being sanctioned by the Indians to compete in T20 will operate.

Is that still a thing? Or has it been relaxed now?

Telegraph article saying he is here for 4 day and 1 day stuff, no mention of the T20.

He will play Championship and One Day Cup according to the Telegraph article
