Does anyone know where/when the trophy would be presented if we win the division? If we win it this week will we get it at home after the current game or would we still have to wait until next week at Northampton?

Whenever or wherever they do it, they should wait for Rehan's return from England duty so he gets to enjoy the moment and gets the taste for a few more

There’s absolutely no way this week ends without us being crowned champions.

If we get full bonus points here batting, Glamorgan would need to get 350+ (they’re 206-8), to still be in with a chance unless they win and we don’t. And that’s on the basis we get 0 bowling points too. So basically it’s done.

Looks like we will get max batting points. No way Glamorgan beat Derbyshire.

I don’t think it’s even a question about being found out by Division 1 bowlers setting traps. He gets himself out. They don’t need to set any traps.

Agreed. One innings in about 20 his approach might work. But he doesn’t seem interested in developing his game.

Think the rain will be our friend today even though we are well on top. Hammering it down in Long Eaton so must be similar at Derby and we have already picked up points on Glamorgan who i cannot see risking defeat.

This is a little wrong is it not from the bbc. If we draw and Glamorgan and derby draw, we have won the league given that we are 25 ahead and getting 3 more bonus points than Glamorgan technically puts us 28 ahead that will be impossible.

I guess if we lose or Glamorgan win or they get max bowling points and we get non is the only way way don’t win it at home?

There’s no way we lose or Glamorgan win. With one days play left. Like you say, if it was to finish how the scores are now we make points in Glamorgan.

That’s play done for the day in Derby. No chance of a result in either game. Glamorgan are only going to get 12 points at the very best, whilst we will get 13, possibly more should there be play tomorrow and we take wickets.

Absolutely no chance we lose tomorrow, even with a full days play, they’d need to score 550 in 80 overs and bowl us out for under 100 in 25 overs. That leaves Glamorgan to bowl Derby out twice in a day.  If we’re not champions tomorrow I’ll put my bollocks in Dunhelm’s window.

A lot of people are gonna have egg on their face tomorrow when Derbyshire get skittled for 80 & 135, while Kent knock up 550 in 70 overs before bowling us out for 45.

We can then blame a) the ECB b) Top c) Oliver Skipp for our collapse

Absolutely delighted for the club and county. Massive achievement given the budget compared to other sides.

I think it'll be massively underestimated just how big this success of a season has been (outside of LCCC).

Really hope we can put up a strong fight next season, and hope the squad doesn't get picked apart of all it's younger talents...
