Hull needs a big season next year.

To be fair to Hull if you look at the top wicket taking pace bowlers in division two this season you're looking at:

Reece, Roland-Jones, Higgins, Dale, Balderson, Bailey and Holland.

Dale is quick but the reality is that County pitches and English conditions aren't doing many fast bowlers any favours. Dale actually took 40 wickets at 30, Hull had 19 at 30.7 so actually a significant improvement on his previous record (at 4 an over mind) so I think he's heading in the right direction.

Division one is no different and Hull would do well to look at the likes of Dale and Tongue as pace bowlers who have learned to be effective in County Cricket. He may have Green breathing down his neck as well soon to spur him on!

Agreed think Hull has improved this season in the red ball let's hope he keeps going.

We need an opening bat and an opening bowler now for next season.

As we've secured div 1 status we should be a more attractive option for some players and we'll need depth at the top especially.

I perhaps wrongly assumed the way the comms was with the three signings this month that bar an overseas player they are our lot.

I think we are done. Eskinazi will move up the order but yeah, it’s not as if we have loads to spend. Maharaj, Esk, Tattersall, Green and Davey is incredibly good work really. Shane they’re nearly all old though.

Clever business. A few older heads to consolidate hopefully next season and become established.

Yep Maharaj and Davey will both do very well, Green hopefully too, I saw enough from Eskinazi this week that if he can find some form he can be a big scorer for us. Remember 8th will do.

It’s a shame Kimber never kicked on because he had the talent but ultimately he had enough chances. Not young anymore either.

Walker, Salisbury & Kimber gone probably a good decision.

Kimber was disappointing as t20 captain this year

Walker and Salisbury won't get a first class county deal now....no disrespect. Kimber will get a decent deal on reputation alone. He's a one hit wonder though. The right decision to release all 3

Good figures for Dale considering the terrible pitches he has to bowl on in Bristol. You could argue that a lot of the balls Hull gets div 2 batmen out with would also get international batmen out.

Yes agreed all need to go. It wouldn't surprise me if Salisbury get a deal at some point though, only because there are quite a few counties looking for seamers and not many around.

Northants interested in Kimber, apparently.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if Kimber gets just a white ball contract with someone.

Certainly could be of use to a team in all 3 formats in Division 2 mind.

Looks like Van Beek won’t be coming back next season either.

Yeh i'd imagine it'll be Handscombe and Maharaj as our 2 overseas for div 1. Maharaj and a new all rounder as a second overseas for T20. Like I've said, I reckon Curtis Campher would be a good choice. Failing that maybe look at getting Mulder back?

If we can find a decent batter, that’s gonna be one hell of a blast team. You’re gonna have a bowling attack of hopefully Hull, Green, Scriven, Maharaj and Ahmed.

Yeah, you are probably right.

Will be interesting who the t20 one is as I doubt it’ll be Handscombe, but surely it’ll be an all rounder.

How eas the trophy parade received at half-time last night?

They got a small round of applause. Thought they’d have walked the trophy round the ground but didn’t. An interview with Ian Holland and that’s about it.

I don't know if it was just me but it wasn't well advertised, I didn't know about it until it happened which was a shame.

I'm not the biggest cricket fan by any means but enjoy going to Grace Road and following the Foxes so as Bert says would've hoped they'd walk round the ground and milk the applause but that didn't happen which was a shame.

I always remember Mark Selby winning a world title, doing a lap of honour, different levels I know but still...
