Encouraging start for us from Eskinazi, he at least has a high ceiling where he could be useful in Div.1

Really pleasing to see a big hundred at long last (other Leics batters please take note).

If we're to have a chance of staying up next season, we're going to need batsmen to adopt a different mindset and capitalize properly on their centuries.

Really pleased the format is staying as it is although interesting to see who we will only play once. This obsession with everything having play-offs or finals needs to stop, nothing wrong with a normal league season.

Agreed.

Eskinazi's knock is very encouraging.

Only Lewis Hill otherwise has made a big ton this season I believe.

Yep lovely to see. We’ve had a lot of centuries this season and they’ve not gone on to score many after.

Can't understand why we didn't enforce the follow on

Teams rarely do these days.

Get up to 500-550 lead by mid afternoon tomorrow and have 4 and a half sessions at them. Should be a comfortable win from here.

Plenty of time left, particularly at the rate we score at. Teams following on always seem to offer a lot more resistance in the second innings as the attack begins to tire.

Hilariously we’re averaging less than 3 an over this morning.

An indication of how much time there is left! Just avoiding giving them any sort of way back into it. Forecast looks fine for tomorrow afternoon now.

You'd imagine we will just go on the attack for 15 overs or so and declare after lunch.

Would love for Hants to get relegated here. I think we could beat Yorks and Durham next year.

They need 33 with 1 wicket remaining, hard to see it. Hopefully if Surrey win, Durham don’t crap the bed tomorrow. Half the teams in Div.1 above Watford Gap, the telegraph and ECB will have an aneurysm.

It would be great, Hants are on paper a much stronger opposition and have only lost twice this season. Meanwhile we're playing two spinners due to the light and pointless cricket. Why not just come back tomorrow?
