Simi Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 Says on Football 365 he's probably off to Derby. Quotes from him and everything. Looks that way now. A friend of mine who is a Derby fan said he's likely to sign. Bast@rd sheep.
Jay Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 seems he has been pimping himself around like drug crazed crack whore!! it seems obvious that he is going to go to the highest bidder for someone already worth many many millions you have to ask how dedicated he would actually be and what the most important thing is for him!! I want footballers who are gonna give their all and want to be part of the club not just want to rob us blind
City Fan Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 Remember when Hendrie said something about hopefully getting it cleared up on Friday, the day we announced Martin Allen? My theory is that Milan had Lee Hendrie lined up, only to ask Allen who then said no, presumably due to his past antics. He is the sort of person Allen said in his press conference that he didn't want, Hendrie is clearly a money seeking big-time charlie.
FilboFox Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 Why did he go to Stoke then? ON LOAN... he still got paid the same!
MC Prussian Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 For some reason, I'm glad he didn't come here... So much for quality!
Brainy Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 ON LOAN... he still got paid the same! I know, but if he wants big money then he'll want a big club, and most of the time, a big club will be offering the big money. Stoke aren't a big club.
Tevez Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 Well, could Leicester City pay the costs for Lee Hendrie. By not doing any transfers this week.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 Probably sign for Derby!! me and my big mouth "I would love to stay in the Premiership although I am not saying I wouldn't drop down to the Championship if need be." Hendrie added: "Football comes before money and always has in my career. Other people get on with the contract side of things. Ye right Lee!!
City Lad Posted 31 May 2007 Posted 31 May 2007 Lee Hendrie could be set for a move to Derby after his father made contact with the club.Hendrie, who spent the majority of the season on loan at Stoke, is available on a free transfer after leaving Aston Villa, and is a target for a number of Championship clubs. However, the midfielder has made no secret of his desire to stay in the Premiership and feels Derby would be a 'good option' after their Championship play-off final victory. "My dad (Paul Hendrie) has always played a big role with my contracts and it will be the same again," he said. "He spoke to Derby last Sunday and thinks there might be something there for me. "Derby didn't want to make any decisions until after the play-off final. They have gone up to the Premiership, so that would be a good option. "I would love to stay in the Premiership, although I am not saying I wouldn't drop down to the Championship if need be." Hendrie insists his only concern is securing a long-term deal at the right club, and says money does not come into his decision. "Football comes before money and always has in my career. Other people get on with the contract side of things. "It's vital I get this contract right. It's a big one for me and might be my last. "I'd like a three-year deal. Nobody is paying for me. I am going from Villa on a free transfer and I will just be walking in somewhere." LINK
uncle_connolly Posted 31 May 2007 Posted 31 May 2007 Derby are targeting Aston Villa defender Lee Hendrie. (The Sun) Well if he chooses Derby I guess we cant do much about it. Their a premiership club now and if he wants to go there we cant do much about it at all.
The People's Hero Posted 31 May 2007 Posted 31 May 2007 De Zeeuw would be a fantastic signing, in my opinion.

Leicester Lass Posted 31 May 2007 Posted 31 May 2007 Billy Davies has not ruled out an interest in Sheffield United pair Michael Tonge and Claude Davis but the Derby County manager has dismissed reports that Aston Villa's Lee Hendrie is a target. Derby are being linked with a host of players as they prepare for life in the Premiership following their play-off final victory over West Bromwich Albion. Tonge, a 23-year-old midfielder, made 27 appearances in the Premiership last season for the Blades who were relegated. Davis, the 28-year-old Jamaican international centre back, played 21 times and worked under Davies at Preston. When asked about the two players, Davies said: "I know the players, both are good players and I like them." Hendrie is leaving Villa after 13 years and is thought to be interesting Leicester City, Coventry and Stoke, where he spent most of last season on loan. Reports say the 30-year-old midfielder would like to continue playing in the top flight and quote him as saying: "My dad (Paul Hendrie) has always played a big role with my contracts and it will be the same again. "He spoke to Derby last Sunday and thinks there might be something there for me. Derby didn't want to make any decisions until after the play-off final." But Davies says he has not spoken to the player, his father or any representative, and has no intention of speaking to them. Everton forward James McFadden is another player being linked with the Rams. Davies gave the Scottish international his debut while manager of Motherwell and admits that he a fan of the player.
