What were you doing 11 years ago?

I was level with the edge of the six yard box, about five rows back on the opposite side of the pitch to where he celebrated the goal.

The ball seemed to take an age to go from Claridge's boot into the top corner. We could see Nigel Martyn's expression as the ball flew past him. Will never forget that, I've never seen someone look so shocked, desperate and devastated all at the same time.

And virtually anyone who was there will tell you there was a definite split-second delay between the ball hitting the back of the net and the City fans celebrating. Sheer disbelief that moment was.

Well, I was there. I can hardly remember anything of the day though :(

I do remember being high up, and I do remember the goal.

11 years ago.... crikey!!!

One of the best and weirdest moments i've ever had watching football. Like Fez says the delay between the goal and the celebrations was unbelieveable. Up there with our 3rd goal against Swindon, 2nd against Derby and our 3rd against Arsenal for the sensation.

I was in Cyprus, I will always remember my dad saying "If only we weren't on holiday we would have gone to Wembley", seeing as I was only 8 I wasn't too upset, although I was still pretty gutted but looking back on it i'd have rather gone to Wembley than on holiday lol

What a fantastic day out that was. I remember when the ball came to claridge on the edge of the box I just yelled HIT IT! It seemed to take an age to get from shin to net... but oh my days I think that is my happiest moment as a Leicester fan.

11 years ago - bloody hell!! I was 14!

oh goodness me... the swindon game... so much joy and sadness in the one game... having been there for all three of the playoff finals i can honestly say i never want to be in a play off final ever again. the excitement of the day was always great, but the tension would just eat me alive. it was torture. Of course, i would rather we went through it again if it gave us a chance of going up but the dissapointment in losing the 2 was really hard.

Unbelievable moment in the history of LCFC, time stood still, we all stood in amazement looked at each other in total disbelief having just set our brain cells up to suffer the agony of penalties when............................

Wooooooooooooosh all at once we were screaming, jumping, laughing, hugging, kissing and oh so very very happy.

ooohhhhh the memories eh? I just wish I was a bit older! was only 8 at the time!. All I can remember is everyone just going mad and my Dad lifting me up and shouting 'we've scored!, we've scored!'

Been watching THAT goal on youtube over and over since reading this thread lol honestly still need cheering up since that Wolves game!

Yeah, I was there. Time did, indeed, seem to stand still.

Fantastically amazing day... 'specially the post-match parties, which I have a very vague recollection of! :P

Was right behind the goal and right in line for the shinner. I also remember walshy playing a great ball to izzet who won the peno. Can anyone remember garry parker getting man of the match and it was quite clear lennon was the best player on the pitch. I think that was because big ron was jealous he lost out on lennon when he was cov shitty manager.

i was there. fantastic goal. probably the best in the history of LCFC? it is definitely my best LCFC memory and watching the DVD it just gets better everytime

this could be the winner from Claridge.... it is!!!

slow motion, time stood still, took an age to go in, one second of silence then our end of Wembley errupted as we reached the promised land.

i have no gripes with Crystal Palace FC but everytime we play them i love to sing "did you cry at wemberleeeeee" and "super, super Steve, super, super Steve, super, super Steve .... super Stevie Claridge!!!!"

Unfortunately, I was not in attendance on that occasion.

I do however remember watching it on the TV at my house, and I completely lost it when Claridge smashed the winner in. Running round the street over the moon waving my Leicester shirt around like a lunatic. Aged 6 years old lol!! Loved those days.

About level with the 18 yard box, right up near the top. About 3 seconds of stunned silence and then hysteria, brilliant.

Super Super Steve....

Amazing day still have my ticket, I was near the corner flag to the right of the goal ...one goal that will never be forgotten not to mention the day itself and getting back to the mini bus to find the tyres had been slashed !
