Izale McLeod linked with Leicester

Yeah, I know, but this is Curbishley's reaction...“I’m disappointed with the result, the passing and the chances we missed. But, hopefully, they all come out in pre-season."

One thing that was striking is that you wouldn't have guessed there were 3 leagues between us. West Ham really didn't look that good TBH. Even though they fielded a very stong team.

What's a McDonald's forum? Are we talking burgers here?

One thing that surprised me about last night was that even after all these years the West Ham supporters were constantly shouting abuse at Ince. It was Judas being shouted and stand up if you hate Paul Ince throughout the game. Apparently, something to do with him wearing a Man UTD shirt when he was still signed to West Ham.

So not only are we the most hated team but it also looks like we've now got one of the most hated managers...lol.

Did you hear anything about the reason Izale didn't play?

I was wondering that myself. He's on the move though isn't he.

He was at the ground. We saw him leaving in his black Mercedes. He seemed to be getting away quicker then most of the fans.

Mandaric must be digging deep for McLeod then if Fryatt doesn't leave. He's scored a bucket load of goals in his past 3 seasons, so confidence shouldn't be a problem with him. If he does sign for £1.5 million and Fryatt doesn't get sold, i'm alarmed at the money Mandaric and Allen are spending what seems quite care freely.

We are desperate for a left sided creative midfielder in the mould of Chris Brunt or Andy Robinson.

Andy Robinson I know a little about, but who is Chris Brunt?

(Can't be arsed to Wiki, so being lazy, Ill ask you instead)

I'd be amazed if we kept Fryatt should we sign McLeod.

I will be shocked if we sign McLeod without selling Fryatt.

Personally I'd be pleased to see McLeod here but I fear if he arrived and Fryatt left, the fans wouldn't give him a tenth of the time Fryatt had last season off form - even if he cost roughly the same as we got Fryatt for. He would have to hit the ground running.

The thing you have to remember is that at the start of the summer we were nailed-on in the media to be signing De Zeeuw, Hendrie, Todorov and McLeod. I think he'll go elsewhere just as all the others have, mainly because I can't see any club forking out over £1million for Fryatt. I'm amazed Wolves even bid £900,000.

I'd be well chuffed!

Agreed!! MM will have spent around £3 mill on strikers alone, and we still have MDV and Hammond on the books. And as Ric and others have pointed out there are other areas that require just as much if not more attention. Or, MM has devised a payment plan with the DOns which includes a large chunk or payment on promotion????

Surely you must remember Paul Ince joining Manure? Or were you supporting Arsenal that season? Being photographed in a Manure shirt while still a West Ham player...hmm..."Call me The Guv'nor"? "Call me a dickhead" would have been so much more appropriate.

That's the thing about having history, teams like West Ham have it in bucket loads whereas your little team doesn't. And that is point two - you're team isn't hated, it simply commands absolutely no respect from as good as the entire nation of football fans.

Absolutely what I thought when I read his comment.

He must just go along because he has nothing else to do - because he's certainly not a football man.

He probably wouldn't even understand why we don't like Peter Taylor, Dennis Wise or Neil Warnock.

It's called having history.

Perhaps if you move to enough different cities, you might find some?

Oh history's so important is it? I suppose Beckham shouldn't have gone to LA Galaxy because of their lack of history?

It might shock you to discover that I watch a football match simply because I like to see a game of football. I don't go for a history lesson or to be embroiled in politics.

I would love to have a local club that's been here for decades. Unfortunately, that's not to be.

So why didn't you support a team in a lower league before MKDons arrived? You're excuse that none exist is totally untrue.

I take it you've not been to the Leicester v Sheffield Wednesday games home or away in the past 2 seasons? He's scored 3 25+ yarders against us and does so against other teams regularly.

Not sure how realiable this is but I was told that McAuley and McLeod don't get along after a bust up a while ago :dunno:

How would they know each other?

I presume you mean a bust up* on the pitch.

I only asked...

And the answer is no.

Chris Brunt is 1 of the best left wingers around, and i include the premier league in that

I was out in Sheffield this time and me and my mate bumped into some lad who said he played for Sheffield Wednesday's Academy. Dunno how we got round to it but he said Chris Brunt was 26. He looked quite taken aback when I said "no he's not, he's 21". lol Rumbled.

Brunt is way out of our league. He's either going nowhere or to the Premiership.

 Cheers.

That's all I wanted to know.

Which lower league teams have you in mind? The nearest is Northampton and then Luton which would be a bit like you supporting Coventry or a Nottingham team.

As for lower league teams based in Milton Keynes, we're talking really lower league to the point that they're off the radar.

People have said that if people got behind those teams, perhaps in the same way that people got behind the old Wimbledon team, then maybe they could have risen in the same way and I would aknowledge that it is a great shame that there was a failure to do that. If that is what you mean then you have a fair point.
