Thracian Posted 13 July 2007 Posted 13 July 2007 One thing that surprises me about these two games is why the kicks off haven't been staggered a little further. With a potential 2.45 finish to the Oadby game you can just imagine someone doing something stupid in trying to race to see the other game. What would have been wrong with a 12.15 kick-off so that the drive to Quorn could have been accomplished at a sensible speed?.
General Smuts Posted 13 July 2007 Posted 13 July 2007 You not going to both then thrac? Will mad dog have a private helicopter to get between thte grounds we think?

Fair point, plus I would have been a lot easy for Allen who will not get a chance to talk to the players after the Oadby game or give them a preparation talk to the players at Quorn. Slighty inconsequential I know but still like you I can't see the problem with having the Oadby kick-off earlier.

Daggers Posted 13 July 2007 Posted 13 July 2007 You not going to both then thrac? Will mad dog have a private helicopter to get between thte grounds we think? Delegation. Delegation. Delegation, is what you need. If you want to see the best, if you want to beat the rest... Delegation, is what you need.
Guest Posted 13 July 2007 Posted 13 July 2007 Well I'm going to the Quorn game (if i can squeeze in) so i'll post something after about how it went
LCFCIMPS Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Hope Big G McAuley score again. He scored against kettering Town didn't he?
Stevosevic Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Nobody on here in contact with someone at the games?
Bluefoxtim Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Was gonna go to the Oadby game, glad I didn't...not spending £5 to see Kenton, Maybury and a bunch of youth teamers
Rocky Dennis Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Went to the game at Oadby, didnt really offer much. Fryatt looking sharp and Hume, Jonny Hayes looks quite useful too! Bought the under 18's on after an hour. Allen was quite vocal, had a couple of rants at the ref!! Team first half. Henderson Beswick Maybury Kenton Cox Porter Hellings Hughes Gradel Hume Fryatt

Stevosevic Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Oadby game certainly looked like a reserve side, apart from Fryatt and Hume

Stevosevic Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Was it 0-0? Quite strange how someone gives a report but not the score.
FleckneyFox Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Yeah i was at Oadby was a crap game really. Players that impressed:- Jonny Hayes Matt Fryatt Lee Cox Max Gradel Quite good players:- Ian Hume Alan Maybury Crap players:- Stephen Hughes LCFC 1 - 0 Oadby Town Hume 45' Henderson - 6 - Had nothing to do Cox - 7 - Looked good going forward, good tackler Kenton - 6 - Fine. but quiet Maybury - 6 - Made a couple of good tackles Beswick - 5 - Didnt see much of him Gradel - 7 - looked good running at players poor finishing though Hughes - 5 - Looked a bit lazy bad passes Hellings - 5 - Very quiet was expecting a bit more Porter - 5 - Again didnt see much of him Fryatt - 7 - Looked sharp had a good shot saved Hume - 6 - Didnt really stand out but was the goalscorer Hayes - 7 - Looked very quick and good passer, good runner I hope the Quorn game is better for anyone who is going
Stevosevic Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 I dont know much about Cox or Beswick, who was at left back? Our problem position it would seem.
Babylon Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Thanks for the report. Cox the right back stood out a mile really. Fryatt had a few decent touches.
Chelve84 Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Went to the oadby game and gotta say apart from fryatt and hume, the rest was awful. I know it was only a friendly but half of them couldn't even pass the ball, and levi was terrible. Maybe the pitch had a little to do with this. Maybury and kenton could'n t defend against a amature side, and were getting turned too easy. I am probably being a little over critical but that wasn't worth £5, i don't think i would have gone for free if i know it was gonna be that bad. Highlight of the game was when hume mis judged a ball and martin allen shouted good touch humes, and humey even had to laugh himself. I left with 10minutes to go, but when they brought the young lads on in the 2nd half they looked a lot sharper and better footballers in general. i was really impressed with billy mckay and kingy. Lets hope
