JoeyB Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Leicester City midfielder James Wesolowski has suffered more injury heartache after being ruled out for up to six weeks. The 20-year-old Australian limped off after 17 minutes of Tuesday's 3-2 Carling Cup win over Nottingham Forest with a damaged hamstring. City boss Gary Megson said: “He's had a scan, it's a bad pull, and it could be four to six weeks. “It's bad news for us and bad news for Jimbo. His career has been blighted by injuries. But he's a tough lad and he will be back.†Wesolowski, who has twice suffered a broken leg during his City career, has formed an effective partnership with skipper Stephen Clemence this season. Wesolowski's absence is now expected to speed up Megson's attempts to further strengthen the squad. He said: “I have made a few phone calls, but it's hard to get good players in on loan, I'll keep pursuing things though.†Megson has also responded to City chairman Milan Mandaric's blast at a section of fans at Forest who he said were “poisoning the club.†Mandaric was angry with the chants in support of Martin Allen - the man Megson has replaced at the Walkers Stadium. “I can understand the frustrations of the supporters and I won't criticise them,†said Megson. “It's understandable they are a little wary. They want to see the club move forward - and so do I. “I know where we would like to be, that's the easy bit. Getting there is the hard bit.†Megson says the backing of the fans can help shape the future success of the team. He said: “I looked around at Forest the other night and realised there were City supporters in the top tier of the away end, as well as the lower tier. There are not many teams who bring that sort of following.†* Teenager Billy McKay struck twice as City's reserves secured a 3-0 win over Oldham at Stalybridge Celtic last night. Ricky Sappleton added the third. Feel sorry for weso, just starting to play the football we all like and batterling hard! hope he comes back stronger and better than ever! LInk
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Spewing but it could have been a lot worse
Raj Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Bad bad news. Hope he recovers quickly but more importantly hope he isn't rushed back too soon. This lad has the potential to be a top grade player, the only thing standing in his way are injuries. The poor kid has had enough of them already. Hope he pulls through both physically and mentally. Good luck Weso
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 ****s sake. At least his legs not broken I suppose.
Koke Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 I could see it coming and as someone else said the other day, Weso is due an injury anytime soon.
Ric Flair Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 This has got Graham Kavanagh written all over it.
Rocky Dennis Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 GUTTED. He was starting to look class. It will be much more than 6 weeks before he's back to full speed, looks like injuries may blight this lads career!!
Master Fox Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 This has got Graham Kavanagh written all over it. I'm thinking more Sergio Hellings!
The People's Hero Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 He quite simply can't do 2 games in a week.
Dr The Singh Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 He quite simply can't do 2 games in a week. Do you think if he has the same diet of Levi Porters (after piss up kebabs) will help????
Ric Flair Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Right, i've done some research. The following players could be obtained on loan I think, as they aren't getting in for their teams. Kavanagh Idiakez Danns Isiah Osbourne Ivan Campo (at a push) Joey O'Brien Idan Tal Michael Woods Ousmane Dabo Matty Pattison Nigel Quashie (might be injured) Josip Skoko Ronnie Walwork (might be injured) Mendieta
Ultra Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Forget that bunch. Kishishev will play on Saturday - especially as it's at his old stamping ground.
Koke Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Kishishev will play and he'll do a decent solid job.
Ric Flair Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Forget that bunch. Kishishev will play on Saturday - especially as it's at his old stamping ground. I hope he does, but Megson is looking to bring someone in.
Kilworthfox Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Right, i've done some research. The following players could be obtained on loan I think, as they aren't getting in for their teams. The People's Hero Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Forget that bunch. Kishishev will play on Saturday - especially as it's at his old stamping ground. Will you ever ever ever get a proverb/saying right/accurate?
The People's Hero Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Right, i've done some research. The following players could be obtained on loan I think, as they aren't getting in for their teams.Kavanagh Idiakez Danns Isiah Osbourne Ivan Campo (at a push) Joey O'Brien Idan Tal Michael Woods Ousmane Dabo Matty Pattison Nigel Quashie (might be injured) Josip Skoko Ronnie Walwork (might be injured) Mendieta :w00t: Not realy a def mid tho Danns would be a good acquisition. We've already got Birmingham's best centre mid though.
Bert Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 This is wank. Such a shame as he was playing so well .
Dames Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Seen Weso at the hospital yesterday though i didn't say anything he was limping quite badly.
lcfc_jme Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 It's a shame 'cos he was looking good but as has been said, at least it's not another break. Radio Leic were reporting it was a break on the night, weren't they? Ahh well he'll be back, fighting fit and better than before sooner than we think.
ronnup Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 [ Could be Whelan time? He's quite creative.
Geo V Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Gutted for Weso but I was already worried about his inclusion when Megson came in as players like Weso who aren't so well known may have to prove himself again. Anyway, lets hope the lad recovers quickly and is back where he left off as he was one of our best players so far this season.
