Manwell Pablo Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 I'm a little more convinced. Shut up, lay back and dream of seven pints of Stella. Only 7?
ohmy6od2 Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 Sounds likely to be Holloway then but not for another 48hrs! I believe it will be announced tomorrow. Im awaiting confirmation of Press Conf.
RowlattsFox Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 It said "5Live understands that Ian Holloway will leave Plymouth to become Leicester City manager within the next 24 hours"
Bob666 Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 Holloway....Allen all in one season...............magic
Manwell Pablo Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 It said "5Live understands that Ian Holloway will leave Plymouth to become Leicester City manager within the next 24 hours" Some day you will find me, caught beneath the land sliiideeeee.
eaststandtom Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 holloway has more sense than that twat allen if the fans grew to love allen they will twice as much with holloway
Tabou Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 FACKINNNN HELLLLLLL. Why are we continuing to target "Different" managers with "personalities"?? Why cant we get some NORMAL human being who ACTUALLLLY knows about football, rather than someone who is going to redcorate the flowerbeds, hold mars bar competitions, and update us endlessly with pointless drool about how promotion can be likened to rasing a prize-winning guinea pig. FFS. Im contemplating supporting another sport entirely.
eaststandtom Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 HOLLOWAY HAS A POSITIVE PERSONALITY ALLEN HAD A NEGATIVE DICTATORSHIP PERSONALITY
He's not bald Posted 19 November 2007 Author Posted 19 November 2007 read the thread dip stick. i said they were having talks and hopefull summit will be agreed for mon or tues so get ur facts right O dear sooner than I expected...get YOUR facts right DIPSTICK!
Bob666 Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 maybe it's a one match appointment so that Holloway (ex-rovers) goes all out to beat Bristol city........
Tabou Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 HOLLOWAY HAS A POSITIVE PERSONALITYALLEN HAD A NEGATIVE DICTATORSHIP PERSONALITY Positive personality? Peter Taylor has a positive personality. Doesn't stop him being a completely useless ****. I secretly like Holloway, but everytime I've got excited, the rumour never proves to come true. So I'm trying the negative effect...
Finnegan Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 One thing's for sure, the press conference will be a laf.
eaststandtom Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 Positive personality? Peter Taylor has a positive personality. Doesn't stop him being a completely useless ****. true but holloway manages a better team than us that play with passion and on infinitely less resources so he knows how to get a team playing and draw the maximum from within themselves positive

Thracian Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 holloway has more sense than that twat allenif the fans grew to love allen they will twice as much with holloway I'm sure they'll love his sense of humour. And they'll love the fact that someone has agreed to come here after all. Whether they'll love his football remains to be seen. Managerial journeyman to me but probably his last big chance to excel himself and as always, if it is him, I hope he succeeds.
RowlattsFox Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 Im not disapointed if this is true but i'm not overly excited either, he is a solid championship manager. Plymouth are sitting 7th in the table and i think im right in saying they have finished top half with Holloway in charge (I stand to be corrected) on s small budget so he must be doing something right. I hated Holloway's QPR but I get the impression he has changed his style since then. I dont think we will get promoted with Holloway but out of the managers we can attract at this stage, Holloway wouldnt be the worse choice.
mancunianfox Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 I'd be happy with Holloway although the rollercoaster isn't showing any signs of slowing down.
He's not bald Posted 19 November 2007 Author Posted 19 November 2007 One thing's for sure, the press conference will be a laf. It sure will be...if this drags on much longer then Mandarich will be able to announce he's hired and fired him at the same time, thus saving the press travelling costs and ex's and the club's catering bill!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 I'm sure they'll love his sense of humour. And they'll love the fact that someone has agreed to come here after all. Whether they'll love his football remains to be seen. Managerial journeyman to me but probably his last big chance to excel himself and as always, if it is him, I hope he succeeds. He's Martin Allen all over and you loved him. Only managed one club more than Allen as well.

Don't think Holloway plays that bad football, to be honest, and does fairly well given the resources. I mean some people just don't know how to handle a larger budget and we'd hope Holloway won't be one of them. Of course, I'd rather the Tigana wonderland - but given the current crop of options, I could think of far worse than Ollie.
Parky Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 Well if it is him some people will have to deal with it, I found this quote from him.......although it is about qpr. "Most of our fans get behind us and are fantastic but those who don't should shut the hell up or they can come round to my house and I will fight them"
