Father Ted Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 Well done lads! According to Olly : It's our first step to the premiership!
rob-blue-fox Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 if fryatts suspended, john went off injured and if cort and campbell are still injured who's going to play up front monday?
Bryn Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 If Fryatt is suspended, opens up the door for a youngster... I'd like to see McKay come in if Campbell and John are out.
Father Ted Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 2-0 win away from home against a team in the top 4 - brilliant result. Will be insteresting to see the fryatt decision, hope we can get an appeal in if it is as pathetic as it sounds. With John & DJ injured we need strikers available! And Cort's injured, what happened to John?
shen Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 Great result! apparently our ex-manager did quite well today as well...
Father Ted Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 If Fryatt is suspended, opens up the door for a youngster... I'd like to see McKay come in if Campbell and John are out. Hume and De Vries (recalled from Leeds)
The Reverend Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 If Fryatt is suspended, opens up the door for a youngster... I'd like to see McKay come in if Campbell and John are out. Elvis?!
Milans Foxes Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 Hume and Sappleton. That would actually be quite good if it happened!!
leicgers Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 Great result and a good morale booster for everyone.

davieG Posted 24 November 2007 Author Posted 24 November 2007 is today like the the day every one lost there virginity just pure awesome I wouldn't go that far after all I was actually there when that happened.
Thracian Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 Great start for Holloway. Picked a positive side. Scored two goals away from home which is always going to give you a chance of winning. Returned to a 4-4-2 approach which meant us creating far more chances than against Burnley - and several of them damn good ones by the sounds of it. It's questionable ethics but Holloway clearly got his message across about what he wanted in a winning position and I thought his disruption of the game sounded very calculating - and very effective. Bristol appeared to be limited to a handful of chances and that is an achievement considering they would be anxious to make amends for the Ipswich hammering. Pleased for Stearman. His goal was the perfect answer to all his critics. Pleased too for Sheehan who had a vital assist for the first goal and might easily have made another to emphasise his value to City, who hardly ever fail to score when he plays. Fryatt sounded lively, Guppy went as far as to say he was MoM. He might have had a hat-trick but the goal he got will boost his confidence and his big task now is to maintain the momentum. City still have a game in hand on many so this result keeps us in there while Holloway takes a closer look at his squad and decides where he can best make improvements. Altogether a great big WELL DONE to everyone. That sending off was the only drawback and I still cannot understand it. I've had my grumbles about Fryatt but have never seen him acting violently on a football field in any way. He's not the biggest or strongest bloke and it wouldn't be in his interests anyway. Nor did it sound as if he had any reason to be seeking some late revenge for an easilier incident. Lisa says he never touched their bloke and that's good enough for me.
MC Prussian Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 Wonderful experience today, fitting result for everyone. Glad for the team and Ollie. I hope we get Fryatt back for Monday's matchup. Let the appeal be granted. Now off to celebrate with some much-needed alcoholic beverages!
Flynny Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 We did well defensively whilst still scoring goals. 2-0 isn't a result we get that much. We actually scored from open play. A striker and everything. Sheehan sounded much better at left-mid, Mattock sounded much better with a midfield in front of him. In fact the left sounded pretty sound full stop. Good sign. Clean sheet. 50-year first-manager record thing. So many positives. I'm more optimistic after this win than I have been since Allen left. I'm not too bothered if we draw or lose Monday, even, because I really believe Holloway will do the business. If we win well, I'll be on the ceiling.
Flynny Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 Lisa says he never touched their bloke and that's good enough for me. Could still have said something, though it'd have to be pretty horrendous for it to be a straight red.
