Bryn Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Disappointed not to win but a good second half performance.
lavrentis Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Disappointed not to win but a good second half performance. Cracking second half..we did everything but score!!
Lovejoy Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Cracking second half..we did everything but score!! Schmichael was truly immense to be fair. Still we played well!!!
lookwhaticando Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Reasonably pleased with the result. Probably should have won it... we created plenty of half chances, but never seemed to come too close to scoring them. Although it has to be said, that Kasper lad was the difference between a draw and a loss for Cardiff in some respects. The save from Stearman was superb, and his handling of those Sheehan corners was pretty good for the most part.
ronnup Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Should've won, didn't creat anything in open play really. Should've been a lot better.
Darkzzz_ Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 well i certainly can see the difference... Fair play to Ollie getting the kids on and they were great!! Chambers was full of energy... i am taking all the positives out of that cos we should have won that game.. Ollie 4 points out of 6 not a bad start at all.... come on boys!!
CupidStunt Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Maybe i was watching a different game,i thought the passing was poor, from both sides mind Second half was much better, and we should have scored Just need that extra bit of quality,of which i am sure will come Sheehan is just pure class from dead ball situations, and nice to see the young un's getting a run out Overall, happy with a point, but maybe we should have nicked it at the death with fryatt's head

Stearman, fook me, he wouldn't know awareness if it kicked him in the balls.
Bryn Posted 26 November 2007 Author Posted 26 November 2007 We played very well. Schmeichel was magnificent but we worked very hard. A far, far better performance than under the other managers. I'm satisfied.

But i hope he keeps the young players feet on the ground because they have a lot of potential....
sdb Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 thought we looked sharper and more committed. just lacking that final ball. some of sheehan's corners were beauties and we should've scored from a few of them. as someone else said, we didn't look like scoring from open play though. we were the better side and deserved 3 points imo. shame not to at least score infront of sky/big crowd.
Bryn Posted 26 November 2007 Author Posted 26 November 2007 Oh and also, don't forget that most of those lads played 90 mins two days ago. Fantastic effort and passion.
l444ry Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 This time the green shoots are really coming out. If that performance is anything to go by then it's happy days ahead for City.
Jonezy Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Those last 20 minutes were just awesome. We absolutely battered them. Shame we couldn't find a way past Schmeichel. Feeling kind of empty because we didn't sneak it, which I thought we deserved after the last 20 minutes, but heads up, Ollie definately got this team on the right track!!

I was very impressed by Chambers but I'm not sure about starting him. As for Stearz, well...

Never fooking happy, stearman did ok tonight, and if not for a great save he would have 2 in 2 games, get off his back.
Stevosevic Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Never fooking happy, stearman did ok tonight, and if not for a great save he would have 2 in 2 games, get off his back. If it wasn't for a terrible miss he would have had 2 in 2 games.
sdb Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Good game, See you at Ninian soon Cheers, your opinions on the game?
Candidcamera Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Positive substitutions and players responded well. The midfield looked better when Newton went off. Holloway looks the biz.

Holloway looks the biz. really? he was just wearing a normal LCFC tracksuit. maybe in a smart suit or something but today he didn't get my juices flowing personally edit: i've just read this back and i promise it seemed funny when i wrote it
blue blood Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 1 word PROUD. they focused, they stayed cool, they stayed strong, they grew in confidence and i am proud of them.
filbertway Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Never fooking happy, stearman did ok tonight, and if not for a great save he would have 2 in 2 games, get off his back. Oh come on, surely I'm not the only one that saw him lose his man and be out of position so many times, on another day he could have cost us 2 or 3 goals.
Bert Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 I thought Ashley did really well when he came on, especially against them big centre backs. Fryatt was good, but he just holds onto the ball for too long.
TheBlinding Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Looked pretty crap for 70 minutes, back to hoofing it up to Hume and Fryatt expecting them to win it in the air. Good, positive substitutions though. When the ball went wide there was never anyone supporting in the box and we only really looked threatening from set pieces, with a bit of luck we could have won it. Good performance, slightly dissappointing result.
