He was scored 3 goals or something stupid.

Cort has scored 1 and that was in the cup! He does not look like scoring any more if you ask me. Maybe today seing as he is playing Wolves.

Eadie was a good player unfortunately he got injured, you cannot blame him at all. It would be like blaming Jones or Piper.

I believe Marci will not leave us before January now, and with Ollie sending Nielsen home, it could look like we will have a proper go at signing him for real. Only worry is, that a richer club has got their eyes on him too, but hopefully Ollie bringing in some Hungarian talent could turn the tide in our favour.

Please dont go Marci!!!!

what a waste he (Eadie) was! I think he was injured more than carl cort!

I could never understand that - he had a history of injuries when we signed him! His chairman at Norwich said, when they sold him: 'He's someone elses problem now!'

So it proved.

The City manager wants to clear the way, and the wage bill, for new faces he has his eye on - and he has learned he could face competition for one of his prime targets, Sunderland goalkeeper Marton Fulop.

The Hungarian keeper is on a season-long loan which was always rated as pending a permanent move.

But Sunderland manager Roy Keane is considering recalling Fulop when the transfer window opens because City might not be the only interested party.

This surprise move is possible because of a “gentlemen's agreement†when Allen did the deal.

Holloway, though, said: “We will not have a gun to our heads but we hope we can sign him.

“He likes us and we like him - and he might also like what we are going to do ourselves in the transfer market.â€

Fulop will take his place in the City side at Wolves this evening behind a line-up which is expected to show few, if any, changes from the side that lost at Hull last week.

If this is the case, that there is a "gentlemans agreement", then it surely between Allen and Keane, and Allen isn't here any more! Beside, as I understand it, a gentleman's agreement isn't worth the paper that it isn't written on, so Keane has no valid grounds.

I think the whole point is that it's not written on paper and as for Allen well he made this 'agreement' on behalf of the club and it therefore should be honoured otherwise other clubs will no longer want to do buisness with us.

Your attitude reflects what is wrong with professional football and society in general absolutely no integrity.

Would you adopt the same attitude if it was you involved?

No - a gentleman's agreement is an unwritten understanding between 2 people, nothing more.

If anyone is being underhanded it is Keane - the reason the gentleman's agreement there was no doubt in the case of Sunderland having BOTH their first and secomnd choice keepers out, NOT because their third choice turned out to be actually quite good.

The gentleman's agreement is verbal - the loan contract which says he is here until the end of the season is far more legally binding.

It is what Keane is doing that is morally wrong and lacking in integrity. He has no need of Fulop, just wants the quick buck. It's like a kid who bored with his christmas presents and sees the poor kid in the street playing with a toy he discarded earlier and pinching it back, and saying "yeah, but, remember I said you could have it but..."

Unwritten - That's what I said !!

As for the details of this Gentleman's agreement you or I have no idea what it was about or what it involvde so how you can even consider commenting on who is right or wrong I have no idea. No one has said that it's being misinterpreted or misused they've just said it exists and Keene is taking it up.

Written or unwritten it's still an agreement so should be upheld.

Especially if you believe reports we are after two other players of theirs on loan, along with Fulop Permanently.

Yup! But I said it first in my original post - "not worth the paper it isn't written on"

I am not entirely sure that we can blame Keane, I believe he is only doing what he thinks is the best for Sunderland and quite simply that is his job!! If he thinks he has an asset that he can sell to improve his side so they stay in the premiership can you really blame him. I think he has give us a clear message ... If you want Fulop you need to buy him in January or he will be going elsewhere. Whats wrong with that?? Milan just needs to get out his check book and secure his services, something we have all been saying for sometime.

If he wants decent money, then i reckon MM should put his hand in his pocket

Like Ollie says,we wont be held to ransom, but i do want to sign him

All good teams start at the back, and we need him

The fans certainly made it clear today that they still want Fulop hear. He came over to clap at the end and got a massive ovation.

It's not as if he's played a few blinders and dropped a few clangers. The guy looks rock solid dependable. No frills, dominates in the air without fuss. Just what any team wants. If the price is anything like sensible we should pay it and use him as the keystone for our team.

At least we know what we're getting which is more than was the case with so many of our summer signings.
