when_you're_smiling Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 He's a very good player and the kind we desperatly need, but his consistancy badly lets him down. He'll need to up his levels if he came to us although if he did we would have an exciting attacking midfielder on our hands in a kind of Koumas mold. He's in League One for a reason though and that's because he's not consistant enough and didn't he turn us down in the summer because he was waiting for a Prem club to come in for him?
OzFox311 Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 Not a bad signing, has gone well for Forest and was linked to clubs much higher than us, so if we get him that's a good thing I guess.. however for 1mil, perhaps a bit pricey for a player who hasn't proven himself at a higher level yet.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 If not to annoy the fook out the trees!!!
Clemence07 Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 "Leicester boss Ian Holloway is ready to make a £1million bid for Nottingham Forest winger Kris Commons"It's towards the middle underneath the Daily Star part. What would you think to him, I know there was talk of him going to Bolton, but I think he would be great at Leicester. Who Knows. Link It would be an excellent signing, he will want to come here, and has great potential to be a City star, in my opinion he is the best attacking player in leauge 1!!
Bezzanator89 Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 Come off it, even though I think that Kris Commons is a good player, Nottingham Forest will probably never sell one of their star strikers to us... The one thing that would stall the move is that local rivalry will turn the whole thing into a farce. That's my fear when players transfer between rival clubs. Mind you, I'm very surprised that Derby let us have Steve Howard...

Flynny Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 Why would he cost a million when he's only got 6 months on his contract?
Dr_Fox Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 Why would he cost a million when he's only got 6 months on his contract? because Holloway's big mouth has driven up the price of any player we want to buy
Ric Flair Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Link Yes please, doubt we'll get him though. Him and Laczko to compete down the left would be immense.
teblin Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Yes please, doubt we'll get him though. Him and Laczko to compete down the left would be immense. I'd be very pleased, can play through the middle too.
Ric Flair Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Straight swap for Matty Fryatt, get the job done.

Ric Flair Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Matt Jarvis & Dave Edwards on the left at Wolves, they don't need him. Forest need Fryatt, we need Commons. Simple. Wrap this up before Monday.
Sods Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Oh i hate Kris Commons when i see Forest play. For that reason lets buy the ****er.

Jonezy Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 My mate is a Forest fan, and we had deal involving Fryatt, Cort and Commons wrapped up in December...... They really need a striker, as Tyson has the Weso syndrome and spends most of his time in the physio room, and Commons has apparently looked pretty uninterested the last few months. A swap deal could seriously be to the benefit of everyone.....
morris1234 Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 http://www.expressandstar.com/2008/01/25/w...midfielder-bid/ Wolves have again been linked with a move for Nottingham Forest winger Kris Commons. Reports claim Wolves have made a bid for the 24-year-old and while there is long-standing interest from Molineux, sources insist there has been no bid for the player. Wolves have watched Forest’s last two games but it looks unlikely that there will be a move before the January transfer window shuts next week. The club did have an offer accepted for Birmingham’s Matt Sadler before the left-back opted to go to Watford, however. The defender joined the Hornets yesterday and may line up against Wolves tomorrow.
morris1234 Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 http://www.forest.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=97952 One of the prize assets at Forest are the talents of Kris Commons and not surprisingly he's been the subject of much speculation in the national media, regarding a move away from the City Ground. Sky Sports.com reports that firm offers have been made for him by Wolves and Leicester. QPR are also thought to be interested as well. Some sources are saying that bids of £500,000 have been made, but Forest have rejected them and are on record as saying they will not be selling any of the players. Commons signed a one year deal in the summer which makes him out of contract at the end of this season. The player himself has said he wants to see out that contract and help the side into the Championship. It will be a blow to any promotion attempt if he is sold, as suitable replacements are not exactly knocking down the door to sign
brookfox Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Skysports.comunderstands Wolves and Leicester have made bids for Nottingham Forest ace Kris Commons. Commons has attracted the interest of a host of clubs over the last 12 months after a number of impressive performances at the City Ground. The 24-year-old is out of contract in the summer and is believed to be keeping his options open. Wolves and Leicester have held a long-term interest in the skilful winger and tried to sign him in the summer before Commons signed a new 12-month deal at Forest. The Championship duo have kept tabs on Commons and they have tested Forest's resolve to hang onto their prize asset with firm bids. However, Forest are believed to have rejected their overtures as they have no plans to sell any of their squad as they battle to win promotion from League One.
Staf Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 I cant see him coming leicester having been brought up at Forest but he would be a good signing
maddog Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Would like to see him here. Played well against us this year.Speaking to my Uncle, he says theres a lot of problems going on at Forest. I know a Forest fan who goes to every game home and away and has been for years, he says Commons is pretty shit thats why no one has bought him yet. The problem is, he said, that Commons would have 1 really amazing Premiership type performance but then follow it with 5 awful shit performances. This guy has been going down there for years and years and years so i wouldn't want Commons here, if he was that good he would have left Forest seasons ago. He is way too inconsistent

Koke Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 In an ideal world he'd choose us due to the local proximity. At least he wouldn't have to move house.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 I cant see him coming leicester having been brought up at Forest but he would be a good signing Kris Commons joined F*rest from Stoke City
