Robsdee Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 26th January is the anniversary of the sad death of Janx, take a moment tomorrow to remember the fun he generated on these boards. RIP Janx. Great memories.
The People's Hero Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 26th January is the anniversary of the sad death of Janx, take a moment tomorrow to remember the fun he generated on these boards. RIP Janx. Great memories. Absolutely. I was thinking about this this morning. Lovely man. I had a lot of time for him. Time for a little quiet reflection methinks.
MPH Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 As i was unfortunate to not of joined this forum until after he pased away i would be grateful if someone could tell me a little bit of information about him. Funniest /favourate memories of him?
The Stig Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 I was reading some of his posts the other day. I didn't see many if his posts when he posted them but they made me smile when I read them.
Daggers Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Janx was old school - intelligent and witty with bucketloads of personality. I'll be raising a glass to him tomorrow, the old fool.
The People's Hero Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Janx was old school - intelligent and witty with bucketloads of personality. Liked a debate. Huge personality. Good Company. Intelligent. Interesting. Stood up for what he believed in.. etc etc. We always used to make sure that we attended the same couple of games a year so that we could meet up and have a few jars, watch city play cr ap then hit the casino. Extremely good memories and just a shame that such a good (family) man had to die so young.
Monk Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 It was very surreal at the time. Extremely sad and I certainly haven't forgotten him even though I never met him. RIP. I hope his family are coping.
MC Prussian Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 26th January is the anniversary of the sad death of Janx, take a moment tomorrow to remember the fun he generated on these boards. RIP Janx. Great memories. What a class act that man was. R.I.P. Janx. Thank you for recommending Brendan Benson to me.

The People's Hero Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Do you think a minutes silence tomorrow would be too cheesy?Top bloke. Very funny, badly missed. No. Go for it.
SamL Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Unfortunately I haven't been around on this forum long enough to remember Janx but, RIP
Daggers Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Do you think a minutes silence tomorrow would be too cheesy? In all honesty, I think he'd be embarrassed at the suggestion. Raising a glass to his health would be nearer the mark.
Dr The Singh Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 I was very unfortunate not to have met him, we did arrange to meet a couple of times but for some reason things got in the way!! I felt I had alot of common with the guy, he was a family man like myself, and loved to enjoy life!! I will definitely have a beer on his behalf after the game on saturday, and i hope many will join me!!!
The People's Hero Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 In all honesty, I think he'd be embarrassed at the suggestion. Raising a glass to his health would be nearer the mark. That's probably a bit more like it, actually.
Manwell Pablo Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 In all honesty, I think he'd be embarrassed at the suggestion. Raising a glass to his health would be nearer the mark. This is why I asked. Raised glasses it is.
Guest Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 I shall certainly have a drink for him tomorrow, however I will not be wearing a short skirt and LCT in his memory, even though it's what he would have wanted.
The People's Hero Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 There aren't enough LCTs worn these days. It's a great shame.
Daggers Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 I shall certainly have a drink for him tomorrow, however I will not be wearing a short skirt and LCT in his memory, even though it's what he would have wanted. Good - because that's what I'm planning on wearing and you know how much I hate to clash.
MC Prussian Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Good - because that's what I'm planning on wearing and you know how much I hate to clash. A must-see for the upcoming spring season then, eh? Make sure someone gets a snap shot. Emphasis on "snap". I reckon you're an avid runner.
Scow Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 I really can't believe it's been a year. He was a top bloke and we all had some cracking times with him before/after the football at the pub. RIP mate.
Alexikokopops Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 I echo the sentiments in this thread, other people put it a lot better than I could.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Genuinely hilarious bloke. This place misses him. Only met him once but can still remember being doubled up with laughter listening to him. Will certainly be raising a glass to you tomorrow night Janx.
morris1234 Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Unfortunately I haven't been around on this forum long enough to remember Janx but, RIP same as me, i dont remember him though if some of the most criticising ( ) leicester faithful on here admired him, thats good enough for me! RIP buddy >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>LEGEND>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
James. Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 I'll always remember him commenting so enthusiastically and informatively in my Reading on the Toilet thread. He came as across on here as a very genuine, very funny and very personable chap. It was always a pleasure reading what he had to say.
