Koke Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 It is the official forum to the Derby Evening Telegraph though, so it does need a fair few that most forums wouldn't have.Have asked for an overhaul though!! How many decent Derby forums are there out there? I feel like lurking around.
Daggers Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 It's coped admirably well with this afternoon's events
joely22 Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 How many decent Derby forums are there out there? I feel like lurking around. forums.therams.co.uk SheepShagArmy They're the two I post on. The top one is the official DET forum and the bottom one is one for the more "hardcore" fan so no doubt you'll get some abuse over there!!
Lovejoy Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 FoxesTalk is the dogs!!!! I salute all who run it and all who post here (apart from those silly Plymouth sailor boys)!
Plymouth Pete Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 I make a point of visiting all the sites, when we are buying, selling or playing their team. So have been on Ipswich a lot lately, this site is definately superior to theirs and one of the best championship sites. For Plymouth PAFC Talk aint bad, they have a couple of Leicester posters on there. Anyway now the Norris saga is over after Feb 9th when we play you I shall leave you in peace till next season assuming we are both in this league.
Daggers Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 ...Anyway now the Norris saga is over after Feb 9th when we play you I shall leave you in peace till next season assuming we are both in this league. Don't sweat it - I reckon you'll last one more season punching above your weight.
Bryn Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 I tend to spend a fair bit of time looking at messageboards and forums of other clubs for one reason or another and some of them are a nightmare. Many of them are dead, some have too many members but no sense of community. Loads of them are poorly designed, either being unreadable or hard to use. I think FT is the best club based forum I've been on. Club forums tend to be notorious for being full of wankers and whingers and there are a couple on here but to be honest I don't think there's anyone on here that stands out as a complete and utter dick. There's enough members for it to seem active but not so many that you don't give a shit what anyone else is saying. There are good people and good banter here. Best thing is definately the layout - I'm quite fussy about forums and if I can't read them I just don't bother trying. The layout here is well above average for an internet forum which means it's good to post on. A good job by all involved.

You've been punching above your weight for too long now. We've nicked your manager and Ipswich have done their part too, so now its back to midtable mediocrity for you lot. You a cool lad though, so you can stay.

Many of them are dead, some have too many members but no sense of community. Loads of them are poorly designed, either being unreadable or hard to use. I visited a Sunderland forum a couple of times during the whole Fulop saga and it was a complete and utter nightmare. No sense of community is an understatement, that place was awful. At the time I felt like starting a thread asking them about Fulop and whatnot, but then I thought why bother, it'll probably end up on page 15 by tomorrow. Also visited a Liverpool forum once or twice, RAWK. And its absolute gash.
Monk Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 Foxestalk has been absolutely great in the 2 years I've been on here' It's helped me revive my interest in going to games after a period of 5 years of hardly going to any. I've also met quite a few of you, several have become great friends. There are a few people on here who value their own opinion too highly, but rarely have there been any lasting members who are absolute cocks. Kudos to Mark as it really is a great forum which has brought a lot of people together. Sadly I couldn't make it to the Foxestalk game, maybe next time.

A fox for life Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 I found myself looking across the seats at a recent home game wondering who Thracian was! i've thought that! the forum can be so frustrating sometimes though with the fickle fans and pessimists. i always DREAD reading the forum after a loss. BUT i admit its addictable and check it EVERY day along with emails etc as someone said there is a definate community here and links fans all over the globe (socceroofox for example)

The People's Hero Posted 1 February 2008 Posted 1 February 2008 There are some good apples. There are a few tw ats. I'm definitely one of the good apples (I'm a great apple - firm but succulent, flavoursome and fresh - with more than a little bite).
