davieG Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 How many goals has he made in his Leicester career ? He is ok at best and you don't have to rely on left backs making the goals do you ? What wingers are for and don't even start saying Shush! can play on the wing because he can't.We are going forward by getting rid of these players then taking 2 steps back by signing Clapham. Let's not turn this topic into a Shush! debate, oh hang on this one is for Shush!

I've ALWAYS said he's not a winger and have detailed the number of real chances he creates a season. It's a lot.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 Let's not turn this topic into a Shush! debate, oh hang on this one is for Shush! But dave this could be on the last ever Sheehaaan topics ever to grace this board. One day his name will be in the Leicester City Legends thread. Thracian will be protesting that soon. DID YOU SEE HIS DISALLOWED GOAL AT CHESTER CITY ?! SUM GOAL.
The Reverend Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 Shame. the lad had his doubters, but he could defend whatever anyone says and provided some great balls in. Thracian makes out he is a far better player than he is but if you're asking if i'd rather have Clapham or Shush!, its Shush!. And i also think he could develop into a very good player. Hopefully we havent seen the last of him here, and he will come back a much better player for regular games at a decent level.

Please share this information then and then you can count how many chances Mattock makes now till the end of the season and compere.
Toby or not Toby Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 I should think the book closed with the announcement.I got the feeling he was leaving after the last Reserves match. There was an unusually big gathering of Academy players/girlfriends and he was clearly up for the game having a cracking match. There was just something about the way he left the field on such a high note and with all his pals watching. It wouldn't surprise me if other Academy lads end up at Leeds - Andy King, for instance and perhaps even Weso. They've got a passing tradition at the club that they'd love to resurrect in some style. Such players would fit into that sort of outlook far better than the hoof balls to the targetmen. Have youe been reading football rumours? someone suggested either King or Weso were going there on loan a couple of days ago
davieG Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 Would rather have kept Shush! rather than getting Clapham if I'm being honest. Depends on the scenario if Ollie has long term plans to keep Shush! but prefers Mattock as his first choice for now (maybe sold on later ) then Shush! playing regularly for Leeds and Clampham warming his arse on the bench is probably a reasonably set up. Alternatively if Shush! is on the way out what better place, football wise to have a loan deal than a team pushing for promotion, he might even get to play at Wembley.
Joe. Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 From Waccoe: Apparently creates 30-35 chances a game according to there chat forum.

I'm hoping the former, but I think the latter. Another Wolves' reject on our cards. Last time we signed someone from them, it didn't end pretty.
Daggers Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 Oh dear. Thrac, look what you made them believe.

With Shush!'s contract up in July I'll be amazed if he stays to play second fiddle behind Mattock. Why would he do that especially if Leeds get promoted? The fact that Mattock is preferred but may eventually be sold on will hardly make Shush! feel valued. I'm aware that I stand to look silly on this issue - particularly as it centres around the value of an attacking rather than a defensive full-back and an attacking versus defensive philosophy - but I think we're nuts and I think the pointer it gives to the way we'll play is hardly reaassuring either.
STUHILL Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 This is an excellent chance for him to prove his worth. If he gets a regular starting place and consistently performs well, then he deserves to stay at Leicester. I'm sure Thracian will keep us up to date on his performances and fans feedback, altho has gone pretty quiet on the Dodds front.....
filbertboy Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 Holloway's a ladyboy? Had a rough day today but that made me laugh out loud !!!

Agree with every word there. Good luck to Shush!, although I don't think he will be playing for us next season. He is clearly not in the plans of the manager, either by his own desire or Holloways.

If it's a case of Mattock leaving sooner rather than later (hyperthetically speaking here) the it could depend on how honest IH/LCFC are. They 'could' have taken Shhehan to one side and in confidence said we need to play Mattock to get his value up etc. Unlikely I know but
Geo V Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 Good move for Shush!. He`ll play in a side that will win more than we will this season and will be playing against D1 sides so hopefully he`ll improve and we`ll have him back in better shape after this loan deal. Shush! for me falls into the category of being a player I don't want us to sell just yet as he has something about him, in a similar way to Fryatt. Lets see how he develops over the next 12 months before slinging him to the scrapheap.
MPH Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 Where he wanted to go. I hope he gets to stay there and prove Holloway and his knockers wrong. A defender who can create 30/35 chances a season and we, as a team that scores one goal a game, chuck him away! All this time i thought he was a man!
Finn Claw Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 Pretty good left peg, but i'd rather see Mattock develop than Shush!, he will be an average Championship defender. Unless Mattock goes at the end of the season I doubt he will come back
Darkzzz_ Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 I thought Shush! has been very usefull at times for us... I'd rather we kept him to be honest!! It does seem as tho his Leicester days are numbered !!
sdb Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 Shush! was slowly starting to make an impression on me but in all honesty i think there's a lot of left backs out there better than him that lcfc could sign
Thracian Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 Have youe been reading football rumours? someone suggested either King or Weso were going there on loan a couple of days ago I never read Football Rumours any more. Weso and Shush! are always out together with their girlfriends. They're really good mates. They are bound to compare notes. And I wouldn't be surprised if others like King and Gradel start being interested in what's going on. How ironic if Leeds build their team around a few of Leicester's pass-and-move footballers and we end up playing with our imported and much changed miscellany against essentially our old boys. Couldn't happen I'm sure, but it's a funny thought. I wonder what Beaglehole would think.
SPF07 Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 is nobody concerned that having had Clapham, leeds didnt want to sign him but instead signed Shush! who we have just replaced with this has been?
