OnePaulWotton Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 The reason people believe Olly when he says he love the people and area up here is they have been to Plymouth and it just all makes perfect sense! Wait one minute...are you actually suggesting Leicester is a nice place? You should realise, I have actually been there. The people are alright, but the area is minging, as my son put it, whereas we are lucky enough to live in one of the seven areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This is of course irrelevant to the football discussion. I find it odd that I am posting sensibly here, I'm not insulting anyone, I'm certainly not typing like I imagine others would (i.e. YA RLY!O££LIE isS a C UNT AND WES GON NA KIL IM!!lolL!!), I've simply brought something to your attention and find personal insults coming my way. I've stated I find it all a bit conveniant, why the diatribe at me? Have I touched a nerve, or something?
MPH Posted 6 February 2008 Author Posted 6 February 2008 Why with the insults? I haven't insulted any of you, I've just said that our Chairman has alleged these things towards your manager, a man who's hated down here anyway. It's also alleged in there that you came in with an offer for Hayles a day before Holloway signed for you. That means you were managerless at the time, as were we. Did Mandaric decide on his own that he wanted a 35 year old leading his team? I am not a passion-blinded idiot on here to cause trouble. I honestly want to see people's non-blue-tinted reaction to this. My personal opinion is that I hate Holloway, but all of these information being released seems to be an attempt by our Chairman to deflect blame for the trouble we find ourselves in off of him, and onto a figure the fans already hate. do you have any idea as to the irony behind that statement?
Chairman of the Bored Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 To be honest I haven't hear Ollie say he loves the Leicester area. I think he knows that people wouldn't believe him. We are all aware that we live in a shithole. So do you of course. But at least you have the sea. A shit hole full of lots of gangs if you believe today's Muckraker. I wonder if that includes the Babysquad? Or the new Babysquad?

I would point out to you that I've stated that I question our Chairman's motives behind this statement. I'm just bringing it to your attention in the hope of sensible discussion free of the whole "I'm an Argyle fan, so I hate Leicester" stuff.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 When all of this blows over eventually (and it will, we don't still hate Brian Little or Mark McGhee with any venom) some of your fans will wish they had concentrated on their own club and their own chairman instead of pointless bickering with us over something we really couldn't give a monkey's about. We don't? Little will always be Judas cos he came out and specifically said he would not leave Leicester. I think up until that point most people could understand someone whose best playing years were at Villa (and indeed, Villa's best years!) wanting to join them. I certainly did, but then he said he wouldn't, so I thought, good on you Brian! Then he didn't do what he said... hence, JUDAS! As for Fat Jock - his leaving was a catalyst for great things Well done that man!

You do realise that there is more to Leicestershire than a concrete city centre you may have passed through. We are just sick of it mate, sick of Plymouth fans coming on here to "do us a favour" and let us know that Holloway is a liar. BORING!!!

I'm just bringing it to your attention in the hope of sensible discussion free of the whole "I'm an Argyle fan, so I hate Leicester" stuff. a quote of what you said earlier.... I'll sum it up for you here though:He told our board not to offer Sylvan Ebanks-Blake a new contract a short time before he left. Ebanks-Blake then left in January for 1.5mil, as Wolves activated a clause that was in his existing contract. He told David Norris he would be looking to sell him in January. This actively led to Norris wanting to leave. He told our board to get rid of Akos Buzsaky, 2 days before he left himself. Since going to QPR, Akos has scored 7 in 16 from midfield. I'm not on here to have a pop, or anything like that, I don't expect anything but insults in return. I believe your manager is a snake, you say somthing like that about our manager and you expect a slap on the back and a welcome? so NOW you are saying why the insults when earlier you expected them? you might be suprised at this but you are not the first plymouth fan to come on here and call our manager a snake. we have just given up trying to explain to every single one a view that doesnt come from your chairman who, suprisingly, has told a few porkies

Never mind your club will be there long after that muppet has quit. As for the battle of the nice areas, neither are particularly nice, which is why I live in Surrey.
Bert Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 I just think it's all getting a bit pathetic now, Its been nearly 3 months since Ollie moved on, Ollie may have said certain things, but in life people have change of heart. If you had the chance, in which you believed, would better your career, and give you better financial security, would you stay in that job or move on? If you're an ambitious person, and certain things aren't fulfilling your ambition, what would you do? Stay there and not be true to the person you are? I don't think so. We know Ollie will abused, and so does he, but we and he are prepared for that. All we care about is the 3 points and a decent game.
OnePaulWotton Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Just read the full blurb on your site. Makes him and his board sound rahter Naive doesn't it. Never mind your club will be there long after that muppet has quit. As for the battle of the nice areas, neither are particularly nice, which is why I live in Surrey. It's true, our board are really a bunch of muppets. They're all just moderately successful business, none of them have any real money, and it appears they've actually turned down potential investment in the past because they didn't want anyone else in the sandbox, to be honest. These reasons are the ones why I can see why Holloway would want to leave us. It's just the BS we kept getting from him, literally less than a week before his departure that rankles. I don't know whether any of our Chairman's allegations are true, it'll be interesting to see a Holloway response if there is one.
Ric Flair Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 All very witty. I registered here to share this with you. If you go onto our official site and read our chairman's statement, then you'll realise why Ollie is hated down here. As well as walking out on us, it now appears he tried, and succeeded to a certain extent, to screw us over before he left so he could pick up our players on the cheap. www.pafc.co.uk I'll sum it up for you here though: He told our board not to offer Sylvan Ebanks-Blake a new contract a short time before he left. Ebanks-Blake then left in January for 1.5mil, as Wolves activated a clause that was in his existing contract. He told David Norris he would be looking to sell him in January. I'm not on here to have a pop, or anything like that, I don't expect anything but insults in return. I believe your manager is a snake, and I find it unbelievable that he's spouting the same "I love Leicester, I love the area, and the fans" BS that we had, but you're believing him. He'd be off if a better offer came in. Sadly, you were a much better option for an ambitious manager than we were, I know that. But the lies and deceipt are what really rankles people down here now. I hope you can understand now exactly why Holloway will get the stick he does on Saturday. I'd be very open minded about what your chairman says, he's hardly going to hold his hands up and agree with Holloway whose gone on record to say things were going on at Plymouth that he didn't like and it will soon be revealed, etc. A few months on and loads of your players have been sold, for good money i'll grant you that. Kind of back's up what Holloway said, but whether he was telling the truth or whether your chairman is telling the truth remains to be seen. If Holloway improves us as much as he improved you, then i'm not that bothered if he fooks off. Luckily for us, we've got a chairman who although is a bit of a liability, wants Premiership football and money and all that bollocks isn't going to be the issue. He'll stop at nothing to get there. Your chairman seems to be selling you down the river. Ebanks-Blake and Norris wouldn't leave because of what your chairman has said happened, that sounds fictional to me. But anyway who cares. You've got your saviour back now
Master Fox Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Are they still bringing balloons? If so, there’s no way I’m going to this game. No fcuking way!!!
Babylon Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Are they still bringing balloons? Carrot shaped ones.

I hope he has moved on like everyone else should have done about 2 months ago.
Babylon Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 I hope he doesn't respond. I hope he has moved on like everyone else should have done about 2 months ago. I hope he shits in an envelope and sends to to "Des Lynams Ugly Brother, C/O Plymouth Argyle football Club."
Joe. Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 I really hope we stuff these twats just to rub it in even more.
OnePaulWotton Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 I hope he shits in an envelope and sends to to "Des Lynams Ugly Brother, C/O Plymouth Argyle football Club." I'll admit, I just laughed a fair bit at that
WetFlannel Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 We had Megson and he buggered off quicker than Ollie did... and at least Ollie had you in a brilliant position when he left. How do you think we feel? We couldnt care less... Its about time you got over this.
Corky Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 I'm getting bored of hearing about this. Plymouth are just bitter that a good manager has gone on to try and better himself (he must have been good or they wouldn't still be going on about it). It is a massive match for them, just another one for me. I just want three points to move up the table.
Bryn Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 I think what you fail to see is that even if that is true, your chairman is a fooking moron and I think the guy that said he's trying to keep the fans on board because he knows he can't afford to keep the club where they want it is probably true.
Jimmy Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 We had Megson and he buggered off quicker than Ollie did... and at least Ollie had you in a brilliant position when he left. How do you think we feel? We couldnt care less... Its about time you got over this. to be fair a large section of us never wanted him (Megson) here in the 1st place, even going as far as to join in wit hthe Forest lot singing "Megson for Derby"
Blue Lou Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 IMO it's obvious by the way our fans on here keep replying to the Plymouth fans that we can't let it go either. Why dignify any of this with a response if you genuinely don't give a hoot anymore???
Staf Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Plymouth are boring me. Same they are pathetic like someone said it is only the three points i care about if they win i will be angry but just as angry as i would of been after any other game
