Nice to see it wasn't just a one off like I suspected it might be.

Hope he can keep this up and start becoming a bit more assured for our first team, I've got faith in him.

I think he played better for England in the last game he played (Was that his England debut?)than what he does for us (Don't get me wrong he's a decent player for us) perhaps showing the difference of playing with quality players around him?

It gives me great pleasure to announce Igor Dragonsivic (Paul Hills) to our under 21 squad to face England under 21's. I feel he has done enough at the recky to prove his worth and has really earned his place. I don't think this is too early in his career as the boy will soon be 18 and is an absolute brute of a boy. I've heard him called the white Ricky Sappleton and the Polish Gary Glitter, he has it all; strength, pace, power and a pap bouba diop esque shot. To round it off, the boy has huge hands and makes an excellent substitute keeper, giving me more outfield options on the bench.

Paul is set to play as centre back in the game and is tipped to become the next big thing in Poland.

We managed to contact Igor, but all thta could be heard was " WHAT A GREAT AGE!", we assume he was watching soccer AM, however crying could be heard in the background. His manager, A Hunt has said he is pleased for Igor and hopes he can go on to prove himself a true great "he's certainly got the minerals, only last thursday he had a nose bleed from the flailing arm of an elephant and played on the rest of the game with half of his nose missing and copious amounts of blood on his top, it was truely a magical sight."

Fair play to the lad. He seemed to be in better form against West Brom on Saturday. Looked a lot more confident and assured going forward. Let's hope he can continue to develop with the England set up and encourage some people to come on loan to us.

I reckon the lad will play for England. Perhaps not whilst playing for us but it seems likely, not too many left backs coming through and Mattock shows real class at times despite his young age. I think the fact that he has been a first teamer for a while now makes me forget that he is actually younger than I am. He's got an awful long way to get yet and look at the class of his cross on Saturday and how well he copes with players far older and wiser than him.

EDIT: 8 days older than I am*... still remarkable.

Well done to Mattock

I rate the lad and hopefullt this will give him a bit more confidence and will help to develop his game.

He was better going forward but Gera had him fucked in the 1st half.

I don't give a shit about Mattock's under 21 selection apart from obviously being pleased for him.

I'm more interested in Mattock being focused on our survival and on improving enough to be the genuinely attacking wing back I think he can be cos there's a long way to go in that direction yet whatever honours they flatter him with.

West Brom was a start, his first assist. It needs to serve as the confidence booster that lifts him to higher things.

Well done Joe. Already made 3 starts for the Under 21's, let's hope that continues. If he doesn't make the step up to the full side before he's 22, he could seriously rack up some games for the Under 21's!!

 This sentance makes no sense.

How can you not give a shit but be pleased for him? :dunno:

Any news on when that Apprentice of The Year get's decided? Mattock should be walking away with that.

Beevers got it didn't he?

Interesting that Nigel Worthington gave him his chance in the first team, did Kelly ever have him out as a sub?
