Falling out of the club of 9 will hurt the most

Apart from nutters like mad dog I think pretty much everyone is in agreement that Walsh is far from ready or able to manage this club.

You should have heard Radio Leicester after the match. The amount of people calling for that fanny mad dipshit to get the job made me cringe.

You've been living in North America too long. I meant fanny in the English sense.

I know what you mean mate, my cheering was one of relief that we had spared ourselves from losing. I didn't jump and whatever to Chelsea Dagger.

Didn't even really cheer in relief - jumped up and sat down again while people around me were dancing about like crazy people to Chelsea Dagger!! Don't get me wrong - I still think that point could come to save us come the final number crunching - but was so depressed at our plight generally that grabbing a last minute equalizer against a team that should have been cannon fodder didn't ease my depression!! :(

I agree that falling out of that elite band will hurt the most. We have never won the League, Fa Cup or a European competition, so it is something we cling on to, we are proud of, and I don't ever want to lose that in my lifetime.

My Brother in law is a Leeds supporter and i gave him LOADS of shit last season when they went down.

I may as well hibernate if we get relegated as im gonna get pasted!

Being in such a club as the like of Arsenal Man U etc is something to be proud of.

Lets be honest we aint EVER gonna be mentioned in the same sentance as them in any other manner are we? :(

If you're referring to Walsh, he deserves a little more respect than that...

He may well not be up to the job as manager, but that doesn't mean the current incumbent is.

I did, for all of 2 minutes, before turning it off. I can't bare to listen to Radio Leicester these days, I just end up getting pissed off with what they're saying.

The Nine fact is now it's not history, if it turns to 8 then it will be history.

I don't think the 9 fact makes people believe we're big anymore than Cov think their big because they won the FA Cup once but it does give a sense of pride, besides the two things, remaining in the nine and staying up are inextricably linked lose one and you've lost both of them so I don't see how it hurts to attempt to use it as a motivational tool.

I never said it would hurt

I just dont think that it means a great deal to anyone other than Fans therefore the players wont be bothered about it.

Only my opinion

I know. walshy was a great player but wouldn't hack it as manager.

How do you know, how do i know?

Walsh couldn't possibly do worse than Holloway though if we go down can he?

Martin Johnson has just been appointed England Manager ffs, of course he has more brains than Walsh but he is no Einstein, If England Rugby can appoint a past player/ captain/ legend as England manager we can try Walsh.

The fact is you don't fooking know how Walsh would do, nobody does unless he is given a chance, and he would do a better job than Ollie has, because you can't get any worse than being stuck in the relegation zone with 3 games to go after 25 League games+ in charge.

You claim, rightly, that nobody can say how Walsh would do without him being given a chance. Then you claim that he would definitely do a better job than Holloway. So the only assumptions that have any relevance are the ones which support your own views?

Well yes because How can you get any worse than being relegated from this division? You can't

To be honest if we sang about being one of only nine, I`d be fudged off that we lost the tag but otherwise as no one knows about this statistic because we dont let them know it doesn't matter whether we lose the tag.

Knowing that I'll still be getting hypocrite club E-Mails with cheesy headliners and uninteresting offers will hurt the most.

Let's embrace the continuously growing probability and "exclusive opportunity" that we could be seeing this club in League One next season.

I'm sure ticket prices would experience a massive cut in that more and more likely scenario. As would do the players' wages. :giggle:

We're not gone yet!

Indeed. And even if we were there's no guarantee Walsh would have fared any better.

Christ, this is all really bloody obvious! Why am I writing?! Argh!

I know the feeling. As soon as Kevin Lisbie scored, it really dawned on me what a dire situation we're in.

I didn't feel like celebrating Humes goal, I was devastated that we couldn't beat the worst team in the division on our home turf.

Memories of last season come flooding back even though we're in a worse situation this year. Nobody expects us to win at Barnsley, but lets prove them wrong. I really hope this fixture is as great as Preston was last season.

Preston was nothing short of legendary last season, the Barnsley game was a nice follow up, with again a healthy atmosphere and the result we desperatly needed. I just hope we get both again this season. So yes! Lets prove them wrong and give so other team a chance to sweat it out down there.

I am the only one who couldn't really give two shits about this stupid record.

It's just something we wheel out in attempt to make up for the fact that for our club our size we've won nigh on fook all in our 124 year history.

EDIT:

And Geo one of the reasons we don't sing about is probabley becasue we should of been relegated numerous times, luck and circumstance play a massive part in us staying the the top divisions this long.
