Kilworthfox Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 I knew Barry would play well today. It was MY doing, obviously. I bought a picture of him for a quid from the megastore the other day and modified my shirt somewhat accordingly. <3 Baz. What a game that was. Nearly shat myself about 10 times after we'd got the goal. Sexy bastard!
lildave3 Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 <3 Baz. What a game that was. Nearly shat myself about 10 times after we'd got the goal. Know what you mean, especially when they got that free kick. Tense. Great shirt btw
Koke Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 Today was the day me and Barry finally clicked. My first new born son will named after this legendary man.
James. Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 My first new born son will named after this legendary man. Barry Hayles Benzema. It does have a certain ring to it.
Guest Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 Barry Hayles Benzema. It does have a certain ring to it. A certain ring of fire, perchance?
Raj Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 The guy was just brilliant today - his positioning, strength, work rate and touch all top notch.Playing alongside someone who works that hard must inspire you to perform. Brilliant. SPOT ON! And he is the same age as me!!!
spirefox Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 The best compliment I can pay Barry is that he reminds me of Frank Large.

Guest Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 I got a text off my mate who was a bit further back in the stand than me yesterday, just after he'd set Hume up for the goal that simply said " I love Fat Barry! " At least I assume he was talking about Hayles

Alright pal it was good to see yas yesterday I'll hopefully make the Sheffield game now I've been dragged to that. Yeah the mad driver somehow managed to get over a hundred out of it with me in! Was back home by about half six Barnsleys just a big hill in yorkshire int it I about had an heart attack climbing back to the car.
Corky Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Good signing for the club. Plays his heart out every match and played a vital role in our goal on Saturday. Deserves a knighthood
mancunianfox Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Glad to hear that he came on and did so well for us although Barry didn't set-up the goal. His shot was deflected into the path of Iain Hume...
Fez of Mahrez Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Glad to hear that he came on and did so well for us although Barry didn't set-up the goal. His shot was deflected into the path of Iain Hume... Bloody brilliant pass! I advise you watch it again carefully.
mancunianfox Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Bloody brilliant pass! I advise you watch it again carefully. This is from Big Bazza himself in the Mercury... "The goal came from Iain Hume heading it on to me. I held it up and got close to the goal and had a shot. The goalkeeper managed to block the shot but it fell to Hume, who followed it up and knocked it in. And Hume... "I knew Barry (Hayles) wasn't going to pass to me and, in fact, I had a go at him about that, but the defender got a foot in to his shot and it broke to me."

"I knew Barry (Hayles) wasn't going to pass to me and, in fact, I had a go at him about that, but the defender got a foot in to his shot and it broke to me." That's really interesting. I thought at the time he'd just had it nicked away from him by the defender. My mate halfway down the stand said afterwards he thought he'd had a shot and it had been palmed out to Hume by the keeper. Then we watched the highlights and both thought it was a cracking pass. Will have to go on Virgin Media and see it again! Been on it now. It definitely doesn't go near the keeper. He must have had a shot and it got blocked out by the defender. He was still brilliant though.
Flynny Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 The best compliment I can pay Barry is that he reminds me of Frank Large. The only thing large about Barry Hayles is his penis.
Webbo Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 The only thing large about Barry Hayles is his penis. Are you talking about the player or yourself?
