lifted*fox Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Hi to everyone on the FT forums. My name's Daz, 23, from Northampton. Been watching Leicester since Boxing Day 2007. My girlfriend, Katie, who i've been with for three & a half years is from Leicester. Her family have been season ticket holders previously and still go to loads of games. I never used to be into football at all really when I was younger. Got invited along to watch Leicester on Boxing Day and fell in love with the team, Walkers, the fans, the atmosphere etc. It's been a good way to chill out with her Dad and get something in common, but... I've been to pretty much every game since (home & away) & have gone from knowing very little about the Foxes, the Championship, it's teams etc. to being a massive fan... I've found it proper weird how quickly you can become attached to the team & everything that surrounds it. I was in Stoke on Sunday, in a bar in the middle of the town centre (couldn't get tickets to the match), and my heart completely sunk. Katie has been a student at Stoke uni for the last 3 years, so it was so weird to see a bar full of Stoke fans going mad while we were destroyed! Anyway, I just felt like introducing myself as i've been lurking on the forums for a few days now. I think even with Leicester's recent turmoil, the horrible lows etc. I've still enjoyed following this team, and i'll continue to do so! I've had some great times so far, being part of the crowd at Sheffield Utd who were still singing when 3-0 down etc. As Leicester go down into unknown territory, I hope everyone sticks it out and keeps making the team what it is... It's blatently all about the fans and the passion they carry, and if anything will get them back to the Championship, that's what it'll be. See you on the forum! Daz
