Matt Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 I wonder who our "glamour" friendly will be against this season?
Corky Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 I wonder who our "glamour" friendly will be against this season? Swansea, you heard it here first.
act smiley Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 18.8 Season ticket holders or other Club pass holders shall not be admitted to these matches withoutpayment. Any variation to this Rule shall be at the discretion of the Board and mutually agreed between Clubs. They won't be able to roll Paintpot Cup matches into the STs then. So, frozen prices plus up to £26 to get into the competition that makes the League Cup look prestigious. Shocking. Yeah, but as far as I can see there's no requirement for it to be full-price for season-ticket holders, or full price for anyone for that matter, just not free, so they could feasibly charge £2 for those with season tickets and £10 for those without.
davieG Posted 12 May 2008 Author Posted 12 May 2008 Yeah, but as far as I can see there's no requirement for it to be full-price for season-ticket holders, or full price for anyone for that matter, just not free, so they could feasibly charge £2 for those with season tickets and £10 for those without. Or they could say the cost has been counted into the price of the ST
Master Fox Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 What's our 'glamour' fixture this season then? Didn't we have Portsmouth last year?
davieG Posted 12 May 2008 Author Posted 12 May 2008 What's our 'glamour' fixture this season then? Didn't we have Portsmouth last year? A foreign team, a trophy winning team, a team we wont normally meet because they play at a higher level. There can only be one contender. Swansea City.
leicesterseddon Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 kettrin me duck that one's a win-win match for me at least...only kidding p.s. a trip to the bees wing pub is a must...a tourist attraction - gazza drank red wine out of pint glasses
AyewJoking Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 Tuesday July 1st - Pre-Season Training StartsWednesday July 9th - Away V Quorn Saturday July 19 - Away V Tamworth (3pm) Tuesday, July 22 Away V Kettering Town (7.45pm) Poor. That looks like a pre-season schedule for a league one team or something.
Blue Fox Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 Poor. That looks like a pre-season schedule for a league one team or something. It's practically the same as last year so far and that was a pre-season to get into League 1
Tilley Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 Tuesday July 22nd Luton Town AwayLuton Official Bastard. I'm on Holiday for that one, I love Kenilworth Rd.

Father Ted Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 Tuesday July 22nd Luton Town AwayLuton Official If there still is a Luton Town by then?
SamL Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 If there still is a Luton Town by then? I don't think they'd be announcing friendlies if they were going to go into liquidation.
Father Ted Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 I don't think they'd be announcing friendlies if they were going to go into liquidation. But they are struggling and if they weren't sure and thought they were going into liquidation but they don't and so they don't announce friendlies then they would miss a pre-season - if you get me
Floating Fox Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 But they are struggling and if they weren't sure and thought they were going into liquidation but they don't and so they don't announce friendlies then they would miss a pre-season - if you get me They've been bought by a consortium anyway....I think...
act smiley Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 Yup, they've been bought by a consortium a while back but were waiting on the paperwork cause they were trying to dodge the extra 15pts.
reynard Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 Yeah, but as far as I can see there's no requirement for it to be full-price for season-ticket holders, or full price for anyone for that matter, just not free, so they could feasibly charge £2 for those with season tickets and £10 for those without. A more realistic price for its true worth should be 1p per person and free pies as well. Only way we will get more than 1800.
