Bert Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 A City spokesman said: "The pitch work is progressing as we had hoped, and we are confident that we will have a first-grade playing surface in place for our opening home pre-season friendly fixture against Birmingham City on Tuesday, July 29." Does that mean there'll be more than one?

AoWW Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 Agghh, just realised the Hinckley game clashes with the British Touring Car Champs at Snetterton which is, like, spitting distance from mine. Hmm, the dilemma.... Touring Cars win, I'm afraid.

SamL Posted 29 June 2008 Posted 29 June 2008 Are we still playing Hinckley on Saturday 12th July? According to the OS Fixture List we're not.
Matt Posted 29 June 2008 Posted 29 June 2008 Are we still playing Hinckley on Saturday 12th June? According to the OS Fixture List we're not. July? I don't know, but if it was June I don't think we did that game? And i'm not sure if we are still playing them anyway, not seen anything about a cancellation - Mind you how reliable is the OS The fun of pre-season training start tomorrow lads
fox123 Posted 29 June 2008 Posted 29 June 2008 The first team shower of shite should have started their pre-season last week as punishment for last season.

davieG Posted 29 June 2008 Author Posted 29 June 2008 Are we still playing Hinckley on Saturday 12th July? According to the OS Fixture List we're not. If you look at the fixture in the first post in this thread you'll see that Hinckley has a hyper link which takes you to the Hinckley United Independent site which has us down in their pre-season games. I'm guessing it will be mainly the reserves although who they will be by then is
Matt Posted 29 June 2008 Posted 29 June 2008 Just looked at the Hinckley site. Leicester Fosse? What's that about?!

Although it's hardly the time the OS hasn't kept us updated.
SamL Posted 30 June 2008 Posted 30 June 2008 Leicester City have today confirmed their pre-season friendly against Quorn will now take place on Thursday, July 24.The match was originally scheduled to be played on Wednesday, July 9. Over 2,000 supporters were in attendance at Farley Way when the two sides met during the build up to the 2006-07 campaign. Meanwhile, the Foxes have confirmed that they will take on Hinckley United on Saturday, July 12 (3pm). The friendly fixture will be played at the Marston's Stadium Looks like the Hinckley game has been confirmed at last. Might actually be able to get to Quorn now.
