Fez of Mahrez Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 This is a good start, and I guess a continuation of Holloways original plan to clear out dead wood, a good deal of which he achieved in the January window. Not sure about that, he signed three of the six released. I think any manager would have released Douglas, Hammond and Maybury. We'll have to see. I don't think this tells us anything. Bizarre that Dodds has got another deal on offer.
Tilley Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 I thought Hellings had already been released? I thought he was just having a trial at Luton but was still our player
Flynny Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 Ultra has already started. He's a complete scrotum. Where? I might have to go and read it while swearing loudly.

I don't think this tells us anything. Bizarre that Dodds has got another deal on offer. He has released 3 permanent employees who were dead wood, 2 trialists which didn't work out, and 1 loanee who was brought in for experience and I personally never really saw it as a long term deal.

I agree. I just think the clearout should be more players like Fryatt (and Dodds and Sheehan if he won't play them). I think we're getting into a discussion I haven't got time for at the moment.
Tilley Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 I agree. I just think the clearout should be more players like Fryatt (and Dodds and Sheehan if he won't play them). & He should have transfer listed, Hayles, Howard, N'Gotty.
DanTheFox07 Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 Does anyone know why Sheehan didnt sign the contract offer we gave him before? Is this because Holloway sent him out on loan to leeds? bit disappointed like some about hammond being released but then we can`t afford to have players that are injury prone and sitting on the sidelines for a year! glad clapham has gone, he should never hav kept mattock out the side. Rab douglas should have gone long ago! Intresting to see if now we get dodds and sheehan to sign new contracts, im also glad to see us offering our youth players contracts.
Monk Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 I agree. I just think the clearout should be more players like Fryatt (and Dodds and Sheehan if he won't play them). I think they'll go, but they won't be released, Milan'll want money for them.
Houdini Logic Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 This is a good start, and I guess a continuation of Holloways original plan to clear out dead wood No - I reckon Holloway and Mandaric were on Foxes Talk all night, figuring out what to do
DanTheFox07 Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 I thought Hellings had already been released? Im a bit confused about players being released too! maybe because these players come under a different category than the rest then more players are due to be released? The likes of Hellings, Kisishev etc
The People's Hero Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 At the end of the day, they say that jaffa cakes are now more orangey - but they are ALWAYS saying that.. and I just can't taste a difference. Can'st thou?
Ric Flair Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 I'd be amazed if Sheehan comes back here, but offering him a contract means whoever he signs for have to pay a fee for him, we'll get over £100,000 - 200,000 for him IMO as he's had Under 21 caps whilst he's been here. If he does sign the contract, then we've got a decent full-back for this level. Dodds, i'm pleased about. I said a few years ago that Dodds might have a career in midfield and having a player who can play out wide, in the centre or up front is a useful asset. He did well for Lincoln last year and I hope he signs the deal.
Monk Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 How can you quantify the oranginess of a Jaffa Cake? I like stale jaffa cakes. They hold up better in cups of tea

Finnegan Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 Will the Hammond fans please behave. Simply being quick doesn't make you a good League One striker, the chasm between League One and the Championship isn't that vast.
