Personally I don't think there's an awful lot between him, Evra and Abidal. He had a cracking season and didn't have players of the quality of Ferdinand and Vidic alongside him. Unlucky.

Domenech is still the manager France isnt he? Never rated him, the only reason he's still in a job is because Zizou decided to turn it on in the world cup!

The French will do there utmost to not play a player from the premiership look at Cantona etc, if they have another option they'll use it.

Makes me feel ashamed at how much quality some of these countries have. Take German goalkeepers, for example. They could have chosen between Lehmann, Neuer, Adler, Hildebrand, Rensing and Enke. We have Paul Robinson.

He's had an awesome season for Arsenal. I thought he'd have a lot to live up to when Ashley Cole left but he's filled the void well. He's extremely unlucky not to get in the squad.

Tommy G Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 Clichy is good, but isn't really that good in comparison to Evra. Both have pace but Evra is better on the ball IMO. Haven't seen enough of Abidal to comment
