MONreborn Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Yes, exactly what it says in the title. Our realistic chairman thinks if the ginger git had stayed we would be in the play offs at least. Also, the new manager will have to get us to the premier league within 2 years. DOH Got this from an interview on the BBC
shen Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 A funny man he is that Milan... Maybe he should be sectioned along with Gascoigne??
James. Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 2 years? F**k that I want it in 1 year. And don't give me that "impossible" bollocks. Impossible is nothing. KEEP THE FAITH.
danny. Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 If not the premier league we should at least win the FA cup and be playing in Europe next year!
Mr Happy Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Yes, exactly what it says in the title. Our realistic chairman thinks if the ginger git had stayed we would be in the play offs at least. Also, the new manager will have to get us to the premier league within 2 years. DOH Got this from an interview on the BBC Working on that philosophy IF Martin Allen had stayed MAYBE we'd have been in the play-offs?! BUT what if Allen had signed Hasslewaink? MAYBE we'd have gone up automatically?! MAYBE MM shouldn't of even appointed MA in the first place BUT IF we all had hindsight the world would be a much safer place So its really no good talking about whether somebody COULD have done something as its certainly not going to happen now Optimistically I'd be expecting us to challenge for promotion next season but what happens in reality is completely different more often than not. Just look at the season gone Unreal
Manwell Pablo Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 oh ffs come on...... I mean it's bad enough when fans are insanley demanding by surely he should know better.

Wycombe Fox Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 As hindsight seems to be a modern human requirement, how long will it be before evolution gets a grip and humans are born with it? I'll get me coat...
Bert Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Are we sure its not another BBC misquote? No, he actually says this.
Darkzzz_ Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Milan needs a brain transplant!!! He learnt a few things off Ollie, telling the media silly quotes!!! I can say this ending in tears before it has begun!!! Although i hate to admit it, i wish Megson stayed!!
Chairman of the Bored Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 I am half way through writing a book on managerial strategies. "Management by Hindsight" is a central chapter in the book. It's a classic theorem utilised by delusionists who think they can predict the future but only after it has happened. I am coming to the conclusion that LCFC will only progress again once Mandy has gone.
Rich Fox Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 We need to build a young hungry side from scratch there is so much deadwood at the club, surely it will take 5 years at last before we can push for the premiership. I think hes off his trolly saying we have to try and get up in two years cant believe hes said this. As for megson ive said it before i would rather watch leicester in the conference than have that ginger twat here, no way would we have made the play offs we would probably have finished bottom. Get a grip milan your still the best chairman this club has ever had and thats why were in such a state.
Corky Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Oh yes, because we were playing such stunning, sexy, winning football under Megson, as was evident versus Qpr, Charlton, Stoke, S****horpe and Sheffield United. Two goals and three points. Really play-off form.
Darkzzz_ Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Yes what came over me!!! I will now proceed to smack myself up-side the head for wanting Megson to stay!!! "Clutching at straws was never a strong point for me"
Glenfield Fox Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Yes, exactly what it says in the title. Our realistic chairman thinks if the ginger git had stayed we would be in the play offs at least. Also, the new manager will have to get us to the premier league within 2 years. DOH Got this from an interview on the BBC Milan is talking nonsense. Megson didn't get our strikers scoring consistantly either, and it is the lack of goals that ultimately cost us. What is it with Milan and Megson? Our chairman can't get over the fact that someone walked out on him rather than being sacked. As fans, Milan told us we had to " get over" the Martin Allen debacle and to trust him that it was the "right decision" Milan must now move on and stop dwelling on what might have been. I think it is true that Megson or Allen would have kept us in the Championship, but I do not believe either would have got us to the play offs. Milan is helping no one, least of all himself by dwelling on this. He needs to focus on the next manager and the next season. Learn by your mistakes of course, but Milan's appraisal of Megson through rose tinted spectacles is miles off reality and is not helping our club at all.
Matt Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 This club is a joke to start with and is fairly funny...With Milan owning this club it becomes a hysterical joke. Thanks Milan, You give me so much faith and hope under your guidance. Makes me proud to be a Leicester fan  Leicester City + Milan Mandaric =
RedHux Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 In Megsons defence (god I thought I'd never say that!), at Forest he did manage to do a lot of the ugly, sorting out of the team. He got shot of a few who thought because they played for Forest they were all of a sudden a good player and all the work was done. We had a sloppy "billy big bollocks" attitude pevading our club and Megson took on a players culture that had seen us drop through the divisions whilst paying top money for average rubbish. Yes, the football was woefull and yes every time we scored we'd stick 11 players in defence and hope for the best for the rest of the game and every single Forest supporter would've happily handed over their first born to get rid of him, but as much as I hate to admit it we are a better team with a better mentality because of his work. Wouldn't have got us promoted in a month of sundays though.
l444ry Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Mandaric is talking sense on this. Megson came in and sorted the club out almost instantly. The team played with a discipline not seen for ages. Under his stewardship Leicester lost only 2 league games out of 9. It was thanks to Megson's hard work on the training ground that Leicester were within 5 minutes of beating Chelsea. I suggest some critics of football managers try running your local village or park team. You'll soon find that it's not as easy as pressing buttons and winning games on a computer. It's staggering sometimes what the average football supporter wants. If a manager is disliked but wins 2-0 there will always be some bonehead moaning that it should have been 4-0.
Free Falling Foxes Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 MM is bonkers - stark raving bonkers! How the hell did he get his fortune - win euromillions after a few months of roll-overs!?
Mr Happy Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 I am coming to the conclusion that LCFC will only progress again once Mandy has gone. Yeah i'm getting that feeling too. Glad its not just me.
Legend_in_blue Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 MM uttered these words of wisdom a week back on sky sports news. He was barking mad then, and he's barking mad now. Under Megson, the reason we only lost 2 out of 9 was due to the fact of playing an 8-1-1 system. Never before have I seen so many players out of position and never before have I seen so many defensive minded players in a football team. Watching paint dry was more interesting. Under Megson we had the QPR game won, only for Megson to change the system to a very defensive one, costing us 2 points. They would have kept us up. Yes, you can all moan about Holloway, but I tell you now, had Megson stayed, we'd have been moaning even more.

Exactly, Staying up and watching shite, boring, all back in defence football or well I can't exactly say watching exciting football and getting relegated but you know what I mean... I think relegation would just edge it tbh.
