joely22 Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 Darren Moore has been linked with you lot. It's in our regional paper. Don't know what to make of it as you're without a manager but just to let you know. McCall fears that Moore is out of reachDarren Moore is unlikely to return to Bradford City, according to Bantams boss Stuart McCall. The 34-year-old defender is being chased by a number of clubs after being told by Derby County manager Paul Jewell he can leave Pride Park. Moore, who has been in talks with Bradford this week, played with McCall at Valley Parade when the club won promotion to the Premier League in 1999. “It would be a major coup to sign a player like Darren but I honestly can't see it happening,” said McCall. “Only last season he was a Premier League player and I'm sure Championship clubs are looking at him too.” McCall added: “We've put our hat in the ring and had a good chat with him and it's just a case of fingers crossed now.” Leicester City are also rumoured to be interested in the centre half, who was named player of the year at the Rams end of season dinner. “Darren's been a terrific professional,” said Jewell. “I spoke to Darren at the end of the season and told him if he could find a club we wouldn't stand in his way.”

nickm Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 darren moore is precisely what we need-he's a hard ****er who lets the other teams strikers know they've been in a game!
purpleronnie Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 darren moore is precisely what we need-he's a hard ****er who lets the other teams strikers know they've been in a game! He's pretty much a terrible premiership player but probably a good 3rd division defender.
Simon Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 darren moore is precisely what we need-he's a hard ****er who lets the other teams strikers know they've been in a game! With zero pace- teams like Leeds will just play straight round him...
Father Ted Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 I don't really know what to say. Is he the hard-fcuker to line up with Mcauley at the back or just a dirty T*at who can't kick a ball
Bellend Sebastian Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 He's a bit of a carthorse but has the fight we've been sorely lacking for ages - I could see it happening IF we had a manager. With Kisnorbo out and McAuley supposedly with an agreement with the club that he can leave (according to this morning's Mercury) we're going to be a bit short in that position, aren't we?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 He won your Player of the Year award?!?!?!?!!!???!!!!!!!!????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... ? ?
Bryn Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 He won your Player of the Year award?!?!?!?!!!???!!!!!!!!????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... ?? Someone had to.
dandannieldanok Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 He won your Player of the Year award?!?!?!?!!!???!!!!!!!!????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... ?? Just what I was going to type, how the **** did he win that, I know the rest were pretty bad but Moore was awful.
MikeyT Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 He's pretty much a terrible premiership player but probably a good 3rd division defender. Totally 100% AGREED!!

Exactly what I was thinking. He might be a bit of a carthorse but who do people think we'll get who's better who'd come here?
Maybes Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 With zero pace- teams like Leeds will just play straight round him... Just aswell the league is not littered with teams 'like leeds'
Joe. Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 Premiership? No. Championship? No. League One? Good enough. I'd take him I think.
Lichfieldfox. Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 He's a thug, too slow and adds no value to our team. I've had enough of Derby cast offs. We'd be as well keeping Bruno and giving Worley a chance.
Super Arj Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 according to leeds fans, to succeed in this league, you need one BIG ASS MO'FO to scare the shizer out of opposititon ( eg, Swansea had jason scotland, leeds had tresor kandol etc etc )

SamL Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 This is just old news being recycled I think. I'd take him, just for one season though.
lildave3 Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 This is just old news being recycled I think. I'd take him, just for one season though. Pah! I wouldn't. Can't stand him.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 Pah!I wouldn't. Can't stand him. Oh go on, it'll be fun. You can wage war on him. Little Dave vs Big Dave. Like a preliminary qualifying round to see who meets Goliath in the next round.
